Welcome to Logis des Pierrières, Alain welcomes you to his cottage adjoining the main house (late 19th century), recently restored to offer you the country comfort specific to our region. Here you will find the serenity of the Charente countryside in a calm, bright and wooded atmosphere, as well as the pleasure of the seaside; the house is located a short distance from the beaches of Royan and the ocean (the Côte Sauvage). The owner will be happy to advise you! The space The 82 m2 cottage is located at the end of a master house dating from 1880. The restoration was completed in early 2020. Check-in is through a private and independent entrance. It is a large wooded park (more than 4000 m2), of which you will be the only users, in which you can easily park several cars. The accommodation consists of two large bedrooms: - The first has a Victoria 160 canopy bed - The second has two 80 beds side by side constituting a 160 bed (possibility of splitting for single beds). A 70 by 160 child bed is available upon request. Bedding, bathtub and baby high chair are available. Linens, towels and dish towels are provided. Present in every bedroom: Marble fireplaces, mirrors, dressers and wardrobes for your personal belongings, bathrooms with shower and sink, valets, towel dryer, towels, products (and with toilet for the four-poster bed room. The accommodation offers a total of two toilets and two bathrooms. All bedding is new. Both bedrooms overlook a large garden not overlooked on the west side, very bright in the afternoon. The large living room has two sofas including a sofa bed, a coffee table, a dining table (extendable), a TV, a sideboard, a bar overlooking the open kitchen. It's a friendly and warm space where you can meet in the evenings after a beautiful country or seaside walk. Bicycles are available for rides around the area. The magnificent abbey (12th century) of Sablonceaux is less than 3 km away by very pleasant, rural roads with little traffic. The stones used for its construction come from… a vast underground quarry under the property… This was used by the German Army to set up an… Underground hospital in anticipation of a possible Allied landing in Royan… which did not take place. This site also has an unusual history, linked to aeronautics, to the history of Aviation! … it's up to you to discover it...! You have easy access to the very large private wooded park for lunch (equipped with garden furniture, barbecue), enjoy the sun (sun loungers), relax... it is a very quiet world, away from the hustle and bustle of the cities and conducive to relaxation from which you will leave relaxed and happy.
