La Grange is a converted barn, with 2 adjoining houses (6 bedrooms, 12 beds, 4 baths, 2 kitchen/living) for 2-16 people. The property is rented exclusively, perfect for 2-3 families. In high season (mid July/Aug), min 7 nights. Outside of this time, min 3 nights. In a quiet hamlet with large garden and 10x6m pool. The barn is extremely well-equipped with coffee machines, ice machine, x4 fridges, kids equipment, pool table, table-tennis, boule pitch, bikes, TV, WiFi Bergerac 40mins The space La Grange is an 18th Century tastefully restored and converted milking barn, located in a quiet hamlet approximately 2 miles from the Dordogne River. Many of the original features have been retained and enhanced to maintain the beautiful characteristics of this classic French building. The property has 6 bedrooms and is arranged as a pair of 3 bedroom houses, with a connecting door at the upper level between the two living areas. The property is ideal for several families holidaying together, and is very well equipped for children and babies. In low season only (anytime outside mid-July to end of August), we do welcome smaller groups / couples - up to a maximum of 7 people, where only one house will be available with the other house closed off. Ground Floor (Bedrooms) Both the Right Hand House [RHH] and Left Hand House [LHH] have three bedrooms, one en-suite bathroom and one family shower room. All bedrooms have ample wardrobe space, bed-side tables and lamps. There are two full size cots and two travel cots available. Linen and towels are provided. First Floor (Living accommodation) The first floor of each house is arranged as one large room, with a vaulted ceiling, generous lounge area and kitchen. Each house has a mezzanine level with a double bed. Log burners in a traditional central stone fireplace form a focal point in the lounge area. Each kitchen is fully equipped with a gas hob, double oven, microwave, dishwasher, a full size fridge and separate drinks fridge (we like cold drinks!), a freezer, plus a large supply of crockery, cutlery and glassware. Two high chairs are also available. A separate utility room with laundry sink, x2 washing machines, ironing board and iron, drying racks; a washing line is also available. Outside Space To rear of the property there is a terrace with a BBQ and covered Al Fresco dining area with table and seating for up to 16 people. Raised above this terrace is the swimming pool area. The main pool is 10m x 6m , with a depth of 1.2m to 1.5m . Adjoining the main pool is a circular baby pool , 0.6m deep. The pool is fully fenced and gated with paved terraces, sun shades, sun beds, tables and chairs. Entertainment x2 televisions (one in each house) , with a shared UK Sky TV package, French TV Wifi is available throughout house (reception does reach the pool but is weaker) DVD players with a library of DVDs, including children's titles Board games and puzzles Library of books (feel free to take and leave!) Full size table-tennis table (outside) Full size pub style pool table (inside) - only accessible when booking whole building (i.e. groups over 8 people) Badminton net and equipment Boule pitch and boules Small table football Swing and slide set x8 bicycles An 18-hole award winning golf course with a driving range is located opposite the hamlet. The clubhouse is approximately 500m from the property and the 7th hole is directly opposite! No large single sex groups, hen or stag parties There are a number of steps, particularly around the outside pool area, so may not be suitable for those with accessibility requirements. Guest access Access to all amenities is available to all guests, but children must be supervised at all times especially with the swimming pools and play areas. Other things to note During high season (mid July - Aug) there is a minimum booking of 7 nights with check-in / check-out on a Monday. Base pricing is based on 8 guests. For additional guests (up to 16) there is an additional charge per person. £40 per person, per night During low season, there is a minimum booking of 3 nights with flexible check-in / out dates.
