Close to the village of Benderloch and the sandy beach at Tralee Bay, there are plenty of attractions to visit, including the Scottish Sea Life Sanctuary, Castle Stalker, Bonawe Iron Works and Cruachan Hollow Mountain. On the doorstep to Barcaldine House is Sutherland’s Grove, offering a superb range of forest trails for walking, and mountain biking at Sustrans cycle track, allowing miles of easy cycling for all the family, whilst enjoying magnificient views and an abundance of wildlife. The nearby harbour town of Oban offers a full range of shops, excellent restaurants, a leisure centre and cinema. From the bustling harbour, you can catch a boat to the Hebridean islands of Mull, Staffa and Iona, or from Port Appin, you can hire a bike and take the little ferry to Lismore. Glencoe and Fort William are both a short drive away, and offer excellent skiing, walking and climbing. Shop 4½ miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles. Free WiFi
