Cortes Kiln
Description
Cortes Kiln is an Architecturally designed restoration of a 100 year old Tobacco Kiln. Nestled on a heritage Walnut Farm in the High Country, this home is designed for couples to decompress and regenerate. ‘Cortes Stays’ info The space The project is a renovation of a 100 yr old brick tobacco kiln, The lush internal green courtyard inside the house open to the hallway is all about getting light and warmth into the house through the thinner transparent skin during the day, but is zoned off during the night as the house contracts for warmth. Guest access The property of 1 acre consists of a grand garden, with lots of private seating, a large two car garage, and views of the rolling green hills of Gapsted. The property also neighbours my parents Walnut Farm, where guests are welcome to wander about the 175 acre orchard or even take the bikes (2 provided) for a ride down to the river for a relaxing swim.
