George's Hut as seen on BBC's Unique B & B

George's Hut was designed and made by local traveller George Cooper age 75, it has a rustic, down to earth charm and boasts an indoor log burner for those wintery days. The hut is located within our ancient coppiced woodland and has access to the shared bespoke purpose built outdoor kitchen and seating area, complete with gas or wood burner. Located at our fabulous site in rural Hampshire, we are next door to Marwell Zoo and just 12 minutes from the M3 motorway and all local transport links The space George's Hut is right on a wildlife trail with the camera 'trap' right outside to capture animals on film as they move through. It is a bird watchers paradise with its bespoke tea cup bird feeders and unique cart seating area, designed using 'Joe's Cart', a favourite pony from the charity. You are guaranteed to spot many different wild bird species from the hut and the surrounding areas, with as many as 35 different species recorded by an expert on just one day! Sit by the log burner in the hut with your favourite beverage and feel warm and cosy enveloped in the stunning woodland scenery. George's Hut is located within our fabulous ancient woodland in our purpose build shared outdoor seating and dining area. There is ample room, with a chesterfield sofa, antique sideboard, saddle swivel stools, chunky window ledges (perfect for resting your G&T!) and numerous chairs and soft furnishings its the perfect outdoor space in any weather. George’s Hut comes complete with waterproof mattress covers, battery operated lighting, smoke and carbon monoxide alarm and hot water bottles. Please note that bedding IS NOT included as standard, if you wish us to provide this at the additional cost of £15 then please tell us at the time of booking. Guest access How to find us: the SAT NAV will take you to Moreland’s Copse farm. Please take the next right which is a small stony track next to a wooden building. There is a sign displayed here. Follow the track up the hill (closing the gate behind you, if the padlock is on the code is 5007 please lock it after you) right to the top of the hill. Do not stop on the track! The buildings here DO NOT belong to Morelands Camping and are PRIVATE PROPERTY. We are located at the very top of the hill on the right-hand side. Parking can be found on the left-hand side. Please do not drive into the woods. Once parked, grass pitches can be found on the right and woodland pitches are down the track beyond the parking area. If you are camping in the woods, you must park your car and walk with your belongings. There is a wheelbarrow by the woods for your convenience, you cannot park your car or any vehicle on the pathways. Check in is from 2pm on day of arrival and checkout is before 12pm on the day of departure. If you need to check in or out at other times, please specify this at the time of booking. During your stay Sometimes we are at the the campsite doing work and general maintenance, if we are there , there might be some dogs with us. They are very friendly and mostly no problem but please let us know if you would rather they weren't around. If you have any problems please message us and I would be happy to help you. Please note that we are a campsite and some areas are shared, we endeavour to ensure the utmost cleanliness, as well as providing ample space.
