Close to nature, agro-ecological, local culture, rural lifestyle, real traditions of the local people, experience, hike and enjoy decelerated economics beyond meditation and book knowledge in everyday practice with solar energy, free showers and compost toilets, soon with real donkeys, at least with chickens: In Posto Tra Monti e Mare, competently accompanied on your own, change perspectives, expand horizons with joy and take sustainable inspiration home with you. The space The Posto is a 10-minute walk from the Vignai village. It is not accessible by car or motorcycle, and that's a good thing. We don’t offer the usual tourist luxuries, but if you’re looking for a simple, rustic stopover on your biking or hiking trip, a nature-focused getaway in a summer cottage, or a down-to-earth active vacation, this is the place to be. There are countless hiking, excursion and excursion opportunities in all directions. And where it fits in, we also like to fire up the pizza oven, cook with chestnuts, mushrooms or seasonal herbs from previous foraging trips or prepare health baths with home-grown rosemary and thyme oils (for example). Basically, our guests are in the middle of a self-determined subsistence-oriented private household without a net and double floor in the old Ligurian way (and under the conditions of the 21st century). Similar to youth hostels, we have also constituted ourselves as an "association for the promotion of agro-ecological thinking, action and business worldwide" within the framework of AGRÖK, so that guests usually pay membership fees or association donations. Due to such slowdowns, responses sometimes take more than 24 hours. We are not "always on" and expect our own descriptions to have been read and understood, because in case of doubt, they (and not the AI-generated automatic speech) are relevant. And the weather is what it is. Guest access As befits the country, people and Liguria as well as our rustic simple level, it goes steeply upwards (accès sportif) for 10 minutes from the road. The summer house is then idyllically located on the middle of 7 or 8 of our customary steep terraces. In the back is a shady forest garden with a resting place, outdoor shower, washing facilities and natural toilet. The access road can also be chosen discreetly past our stone house located 4 terraces further down, but it does not have to be: We are always happy to be contacted and help in all situations. The summer house is set up for self-catering, but if you want, you can also get meals and delicious homemade things. We don't have high-tech luxury (which is a good thing), but we do have lively flora and fauna. Those who think of nature as something easy and sterile, consumable between photo wallpaper and Disneyland, confuse body care with tons of chemical lubricants and cleanliness with the seemingly clinical purity of hospitals and star hotels, are not a good fit here. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS Self-sufficiency in silence and seclusion is just as possible as asking for tips and ideas or receiving meals, natural products, oikos workshops and outdoor trekking. Even without having directly booked courses, each guest gets a clear and hopefully lasting inspiration of what a decelerated lifestyle means in everyday life and that deceleration is the necessary consequence of natural economic activity and self-determined work worthy of human beings: In real life, this does not go faster than the given resources allow. Agro-ecological farming needs its specific and different times just as much as the domestic animals (i.e. the small cattle). Gathering walks in the forest have their own rhythm and eventful multi-day hikes have yet another depending on the focus. We are not "always on" (but always present) and our solar energy is too scarce to squander it as a permanent fueling station for digital zombies. There is always enough light, unless the solar battery has to be replaced replaced due to its lifespan. Such special cases are always communicated in advance and we also expect a little advance information (at least in the profile) from our guests. HERE lives the Green Matrix, HERE we are in real over 800 m, HERE we are actually on the mountain of Monte Ceppo and here we live in such a way that we consume only 0.9 earths globally. Other things to note We are always happy to give away our home-grown fruits and vegetables, hold pizza baking, rosemary bath or pasta-making events (also with chestnut flour) for 30 euros and, as mentioned above, also more detailed workshops, hikes and treks (see homepage), some of which are already listed here as an "event". Every year between mid-February and mid-March, we entice and reward the courage to adventure for early spring cold-resistant rustic types at the pulse of nature with a 2-4 week CRISPNESS DISCOUNT, because despite all the sunshine during the day, it can still occasionally get very chilly at night! However, firewood for the fireplace is no longer for free beyond what may be provided as a gift. We naturally adhere to the expert-based advanced Airbnb cleaning protocol, disinfecting frequently touched surfaces, including every doorknob, cleaning every room using comprehensive checklists, providing additional natural cleaning agents as needed, and complying with all mandatory safety guidelines. Contactless stay is also possible. For stays of less than 1 week, there is an extra charge of €7 per person for bedding (= pillowcase + duvet cover) if you do not bring your own. For public users and absolute trekking fans, there is "FöF" - our program for promoting natural pedestrians: special pick-up tours in half, full and multi-day mode to us, competently accompanied and guided. The tours may also be possible for experienced hikers with a map and fitness. If you have visited our offer page more often, you will have noticed that we also cannot get around "price adjustments". In the approx. 10 years of our presence, we have always lagged behind the inflation rate, even during corona or the exorbitant inflation in the wake of Russia's sanctions and arms madness, and always remained just as reliable. It is no different for the catch-up adjustment due to the currently directly withheld tax of 21%, where there is no longer any exception or return option for private coagrants. So we beat 10% in the fall of 2025 and 11% in the fall of 2026. At the moment, out of 55 euro 22 paid by the guest, the Euro 22 land on Airbnb or Meloni and only 33 with us. This can't stay that way.
