It is approximately 28 miles from Gainesville, Florida, home of the Florida Gators and 45 miles from Jacksonville, Florida, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Guest access The cottage is located on Lake Brooklyn which is a clear sand bottom lake with beautiful white sand beach for your enjoyment. Swimming, fishing, kayaking, jet skis and boating are very popular on this beautiful lake. There are chairs on the beach to sit and enjoy all of the lake activity or just peacefully watch the beautiful sunsets, at your leisure. Other things to note When enjoying the beach and lake activity we ask that you always rinse your “ sandy feet” at the foot of the steps with the hose provided.
