The space Our villa is located on the first hill out of Florence downtown, just below the Fiesole village. A private road leads you to the house, surrounded by its own garden and several other villas. The apartment for rent, on the ground floor of the villa, is composed as follows: The entrance room leads you to the main living / dining room, to the kitchen and to the night zone. The double-size living room has a dining area on the right (with 6-8 seats dining table) and a lounge area on the left, with sofas and fireplace. Two full-height windows accede directly to the panoramic private garden in front of the house, while three additional window make the room very bright. The kitchen provides you with an additional 6-seats dining table. The cooking area is made of large and comfortable storage cabinets with marble counter-tops and is equipped with 5-range gas cooking plates, oven, dishwasher and double full-height fridge/freezer. (When we used to live the apartment, such kitchen was indeed the most lived and beloved room of the house, as per the typical italian attitude!). The night-zone (completely independent from the day-zone) is made of three sleeping rooms (one of them could be easily addressed as studio/office) and two bathrooms. All rooms are connected by a corridor equipped with full-height inbuilt wardrobe cabinets and book shelves. The cellar includes the independent heating-plant room and the basement room with washing machine and large shelves for wine and general storage. All rooms have windows opening on the garden and all the apartment is very bright. The furniture is a mix of ancient and modern pieces, all well maintained and making a warm and cozy atmosphere. The apartment is fully equipped with pots and pans, cutlery and crockery, and, on request, with bed, bath and table linen. Guest access The garden offers you a nice and quite lounge and dining area just in front of the living room with a fantastic panoramic view in the Fiesole hills. Olive trees and rose bushes give to the garden the typical Tuscan taste. Two sides of the garden are reserved to the guest, the other two are common area An inside parking area is also available for your car. Other things to note The City of Florence has established the “tourist tax”. The tax is applied to non-residents overnight stays in the city of Florence and for a maximum of 7 consecutive nights. The tax rate for this tourist structure is 2,5 euro per person per night. There are the following exemptions: a)children up to twelve years old ; b) students of the University of Florence The tax has to be paid cash at the moment of check in.
