Home in Chalkidiki
Description
Our home, a comfortable 74 m² beachfront maisonette, is specially designed for families who want to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing vacation by the sea. Fifty-seven (57) meters from the seashore. The absence of a road between the house and the sea and the presence of a large private garden create a particularly safe environment for families with children. Here, you can enjoy your coffee, dine at the garden gazebo, and create beautiful summer memories. The space The space The residence is located just 4.5 km from the seaside village of Ierissos, in the Nautilus resort, on Gavriadia Beach — a particularly beautiful and peaceful beach in Halkidiki overlooking the unique Mount Athos. Ierissos is located about 100 km from Thessaloniki International Airport, making it easily accessible for visitors from all over Europe. The 'Nautilus' resort is located about 4 km from Ierissos and is an organized, gated community of 240 residences. Access is permitted only to residents via an individual remote control, which creates a particularly calm and secure environment — a feature that families with children especially appreciate. The design of the community emphasizes a “green,” human-centric, and ecological living environment, where everyday life blends harmoniously with nature. Access to the village is easy by car from the Thessaloniki–Ierissos road. The residence has direct access and offers two private parking spaces exclusively for guests. The distance to the sea is just 57 meters, allowing families to get to the beach easily and quickly — even children can go on their own safely (but they should be supervised by an adult at the beach). Ierissos offers everything a family might need on vacation: supermarkets, pastry shops, tavernas, cafés and bars, shops, and a municipal health clinic, so guests can feel convenient and safe during their stay. Our house is a beautiful 74 sq. m. duplex in a very quiet area, ideal for a family vacation. It's a place where guests can truly relax, enjoy the sea, and spend quality time together. The residence's garden is carefully designed around the house and the private shaded gazebo. Approximately 250 plants are watered automatically, creating a sense of natural coolness and tranquility. The azure blue of the Aegean Sea, the summer sea breeze, the open Greek sky, and the natural sounds of the local ecosystem—even the migrating birds—create a particularly peaceful environment. It is a place where families can enjoy simple but precious moments: breakfast in the garden, a quiet afternoon after the beach, or dinner together under the summer sky on the shaded gazebo or on the balcony, always overlooking the sea. Our guests often tell us that here, they feel the kids can play safely, the parents can truly relax, and the house provides the space and tranquility a family needs to create beautiful summer memories. It's a home where family moments come naturally—and often become some of the most cherished vacation memories. Our residence. Our residence is a newly built townhouse of approximately 74 sq. m (800 sq. ft) on two levels, connected by an interior marble staircase and a traditional wooden railing. The space has been designed with attention to detail, aiming to offer comfort, practicality, and tranquility—elements that make family vacations truly relaxing. The house was originally built to accommodate our own large family, which numbers more than nine people. That’s why we know from personal experience what a large family needs on vacation: plenty of sleeping areas, a functional kitchen, places to relax, and practical solutions for everyday life. The layout of the house allows families or small groups of friends to spend time together, but also to have their own personal space when they need it. The residence is located within the Nautilus community, a gated and controlled community where entry is permitted only to residents using a personal remote control. This creates a quiet and safe environment where families can truly relax. Guests often tell us that they feel like they're in a small, private community by the sea. The community was designed according to standards that prioritize nature, open space, and quality of life. The buildings are low-rise (just 7.5 meters) and are located at considerable distances from one another, creating a natural microclimate with coolness, breeze, and tranquility. This means more greenery, more privacy, and an environment that truly promotes rest and relaxation. The plot on which the residence is built is located directly on the seafront. Beyond the house, there is only natural terrain and the beach—there is no road or car traffic between the house and the sea. The distance to the sea is just 57 meters, which gives a sense of real closeness to the sea and makes the stay particularly convenient for families. Many families particularly appreciate this location: children can move around the resort area more safely and walk to the beach without any cars passing between the house and the sea (of course, always under parental supervision when in the water). From the house, there are five windows, two balconies, and the shaded garden gazebo that directly overlook the sea. Many guests start their day with a quiet coffee on the balcony, while in the evening they enjoy the tranquility of the garden and the clear starry sky, as the area has very little light pollution. One of the most beautiful moments of the day is sunrise. The sun rises over the sea opposite Cape Arapis on Mount Athos. On some days, under specific weather conditions, the rare phenomenon of “meteorism” may be observed, where the small islets of Stylaria and Arapis appear to be floating on the horizon. On clear days at sunrise, you can even make out the outline of Thassos Island on the horizon in the distance. These are moments that many guests love to photograph or simply enjoy in peace before starting their day at the sea. Fast and stable satellite Wi-Fi internet (approximately 50–100 Mbps download and 5–10 Mbps upload) is provided, and each floor has air conditioning to ensure a comfortable temperature even on hot summer days. Ground floor On the ground floor, there are three separate bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower. In the bathroom, there is a cabinet with a hairdryer, an electric iron, and clean towels, as well as space for your personal belongings. The first bedroom has a double bed, a nightstand, and a large closet. It faces south and has direct access to its own terrace, which can also be used as a second entrance to the house. The large window and the balcony door offer a beautiful view of the sea and the garden. The second bedroom also has a double bed and a closet for storing personal belongings. The third bedroom has a single bed, a work desk, and storage shelves. If larger families are staying, an extra bed for a child or a crib can be added to the two bedrooms with double beds. Under the stairs, there is a washing machine, which is especially convenient for families staying for several days or traveling with children. First floor The main living area of the house is located upstairs. On the south side, there is a cozy living room with a dining area for six people, a traditional wood-burning stove, and a flat-screen TV. The four windows and two balconies offer beautiful sea views. It is a place where guests often enjoy their morning coffee, a quiet breakfast, or a relaxed family meal after a day at the beach. The kitchen is located on the north side of the floor and is fully equipped with a refrigerator, a gas stove, and an electric stove (so that you can cook even in the event of a power outage), a dishwasher, and all the necessary small appliances for daily use. It is a space designed so that families can comfortably prepare their meals. In the living room, there is also a three-seater sofa that converts into a double bed, an armchair that converts into a single bed, and a traditional ottoman, allowing more guests to be accommodated when needed. On the same floor, there is also a small half bath with a cabinet for cleaning supplies and a basic first-aid kit. Outdoor spaces In the garden, on the south side of the house, there is a shaded gazebo with a view of the sea. The space is surrounded by approximately 250 plants that are watered using a subsurface irrigation system, creating a sense of coolness and natural tranquility. In the gazebo, there is a large wooden dining table where up to eight people can dine comfortably. It's a spot where many families enjoy their summer dinners, chatting casually after a day at the beach. Next to the gazebo, there is an outdoor shower with hot and cold water—perfect for a quick shower after returning from the beach. Water system The house has two water supply systems. The first is directly connected to the municipal water supply network of Ierissos and serves the basic needs of the house. The second system is supplied by a 250-liter tank and provides water for the hot water outlets and the outdoor shower. This system was designed so that the house would continue to have water even in the rare event of a temporary interruption to the municipal water supply during the peak tourist season. With prudent use, the residence practically never runs out of water. Beaching The beach, with its clear waters, is just 57 meters from the house — about a one-minute walk. There, you will usually find a small number of people, mostly residents of the village, which provides peace and a place to relax. The residence also provides umbrellas and sun loungers so guests can comfortably enjoy their day by the sea. In short, the house is designed to make guests feel comfortable and at ease from the very first moment — as if they were in their own summer home. It's a place where families can enjoy beautiful, simple moments together: breakfast on the balcony, playing in the garden, and quiet evenings after a day at the beach.
