The space is styled in an English country cottage vibe, hence the name. It's relaxing atmosphere usually welcomes my parents on their stays in France, so comfort is paramount. The property has a large garden with beautiful views. It is located in a quiet village, not far from shops, beaches and SNCF train station (Lison). You can be in Bayeux within 20 minutes and Caen in 35 minutes. Meublé touristique 2 étoiles. The space The ground floor apartment is designed for limited-mobility access and has a nicely appointed wet-room with shower and bath. The bedroom's French doors also open up onto a small patio. There is direct access to a private garden and the small pond is well stocked with carp. Guest access During your stay, you will have full access to the apartment and its surrounding gardens. The vestibule area may be shared with the first floor loft apartment; however, both units have separate entrances. Other things to note ~~~~~~~~~COVID-19 UPDATE~~~~~~~~~ We kindly ask that all guests adhere to the following in order to minimize the risk of virus spread so everyone can enjoy holidays during this time. • PLEASE keep hygiene front of mind. • Please leave your shoes outside; consider bringing indoor thongs/slippers that won’t take much room in your luggage • Open windows to allow fresh air to circulate within the property during your stay. NOTE: For your own safety, do NOT open any floor level windows in the upper apartment. • Please dispose of your rubbish and keep the property clean and sanitized during your stay, in order to reduce the risk to cleaners, owners and follow on guests. Extra black trash and yellow recycling bags will be provided. Glass bottles and containers can be collected and deposited at the glass depot in the scenic overlook behind the church (parking area). • On check-out day, please strip the beds and place linens and towels into the laundry bags provided. We will try to ensure that your rental is well-stocked with plenty of cleaning and sanitizing products while staying at our home. • Antibacterial hand sanitizer in high traffic areas • Disposable gloves and disinfecting wipes • Disinfectants and cleaning supplies • Hand soap • Paper towels ~~~~~~~~~ There is a small but deep pond on the property; therefore, children and infants must be properly supervised. Here in the country, we are on septic tank system; therefore, please do not throw anything other than toilet paper into the toilet. There is a small bin near the toilet. Please use it for sanitary items, including any items marketed as "flushable"; these are not intended for septic systems. Pets welcomed but an additional 10 euro/day fee will be assessed per animal. Please communicate in advance about any pets and by reserving, guests agree to pay the additional fee. If dogs do not play well with cats, then they must be kept on a lead. All guests must keep pets off furniture and pick up after their pets both inside and outside. All efforts to limit the transfer of pet hair (eg, travel blankets, lint rollers) should be used. Wifi is available for general legal usage but not for streaming videos or movies.
