Two restaurants in these precincts open from 08am-5pm, (closed tuesdays), 5 or 10 minutes drive away from Midstream, Southdowns, Irene and Irene Mall. The space As part of an urban farm, this quaint stand-alone cottage, with its own entrance, is ideally situated for easy access to and from Johannesburg, Pretoria, Midrand, Centurion, OR Tambo International airport(25 minutes drive) and Midstream Mediclinic (8kms away). Nestling in the Sunherbs cottage gardens, it is a reflection of the ethic of its home, Sunlawns A/H. Here, we are committed to good agricultural practices (our gardens are completely organic), and strive to implement earth-friendly waste management principles. In keeping with this, up-cycling and recycling of resources is evident in the cottage building. Historic Cullinan bricks have been used in the walls and floors and old doors and window frames have been re-purposed to create a cosy, eclectic living space. Modern furniture and appliances, ensure a spotlessly clean and comfortable stay. Other things to note As part of Sunlawns Agriculural Holdings, Rose Cottage is part of a vibrant, mixed use precinct. A Gymnastic Hall, where coaching takes place for young children, an Event Company offering small, day-time only events, and residential/ rental units, all set within beautiful, riotous, organically grown herb gardens, makes for an energetic, but sometimes noisy environment. Please be aware, that, not only do we have an amazing variety of wild birds, including Owls, Babblers, Hadeda Ibis and Red-billed Hoopoe, but also a selction of farm animals, including pea-fowl, chickens and cows.
