Our gorgeous cottage is nestled in the Conservation Area of historic Deal. Comfortable, well equipped: perfect for small families, couples and friends as a seaside retreat. It's lovely courtyard garden has access to the house and to the quiet street. Your home from home is a 2 minutes walk to the High Street and a further 2 minute walk to the beach. Bring your kayaks, bicycles, fishing rods and bathers, or snuggle up on the sofa in front of the fire, relax and read a book. It’s your holiday. The space Through the front door you are welcomed into the sitting room - 3-seater sofa - 2 arm chairs - Smart TV on a pull-out bracket - A fire in the hearth - Books, cards and games for children and adults - There is an under stair cupboard with a drying rack, Drying Pod, ironing board and iron, hoover etc. Through to the Kitchen - Oven and hob - Washing machine with detergent - Fridge with ice box - Microwave - Toaster and Kettle - Thoroughly equipped with numerous utensils, various bowls for serving, pans, plates, egg cups, several chopping boards etc. - Tea, coffee, chocolate, olive oil, salt and pepper, cling film, foil etc - Sewing kit, stationary, glue stick, sticky tape, pegs, elastic bands, freezer bags, table mats, coasters, trivets etc. - Kitchen table for 4 that extends in length. Through to Back door to Garden on the left, and door to Bathroom to the right Bathroom - Perfectly positioned large tiled bathroom to rinse off the salt from a long day in the sea! - Large raised bath to fill with relaxing bubbles with large over-head shower head - Full size heated towel rail Through Back door to Garden - Fully terraced in Indian stone - Tall wooden gate to street, plenty of space between back door and gate to accommodate bikes, kayaks etc - Passage to beautiful wind-sheltered, sun-trap courtyard garden behind the house. - Generous table and chairs (cushions for chairs in under-stair cupboard) - Barbeque - Tall reclaimed wooden planters and pots of flowers and a large variety of herbs for your use. Stairs leading upstairs from Sitting Room - Stairs to the first floor - Roped handrail to the right and wooden bannister to the left - In-keeping with the age of the house, the staircase is quite narrow and is angled to the left as it reaches the first floor. This may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues. Bedroom 1 - Double bed - Tall chest of drawers - Ample hanging rail in alcove with hangers - Child’s travel cot (please bring your own bedding) - Hair dryer - Bedside tables and lamps - Bath robes and hotel-style slippers Bedroom 2 - Twin beds which can be made up as a double bed if required - Shelves for folded clothes - Hanging hooks and hangers - Shoe rack - Bedside tables and lamps - Bath robes and hotel-style slippers For those with allergies, the bed in Bedroom 1 has a Goose down duvet and a mixture of feather and down and hollow fibre pillows, Bedroom 2 has hollow fibre duvets and a mix of hollow fibre and feather and down pillows. ` Guest access Transport: Deal railway station is a 10 minute walk with fast trains into London in 1 hour and 40 minutes via Ashford International Station. Trains head North to the historic seaside towns of Sandwich, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate. Parking: It is possible to park outside the house and along the street for two hours. It is then necessary to move to another spot. There is parking for a daily fee of £6 per day payable by Ringo or cash 5 minute walk away Union Road Car Park). Food Shopping: deal has many independent food shops selling local produce. The is a very good fishmonger and butcher along the high street (less than 10 minute walk). There is a Farmer’s Market every Saturday. The nearest corner shop is a 3 minute walk around two corners. There is a large Sainsbury’s and Aldi a 3 minute drive or a 10 minute walk. Other things to note Please do not take the white towels from the house to the beach. Well behaved dogs are welcome once discussed with me but to be kept downstairs only and please keep them off the sofa and arm chairs. No smoking anywhere inside the property.
