With a moderately equipped galley, bathroom, televisions and comfortable saloon these are ideal for a relaxing getaway. Sleeping arrangements There are 2 cabins with fixed double berths, sleeping 2 to a cabin. The saloon sofa and dining table double up as the other double berth sleeping 2. Heads This narrowboat has 2 heads. The first head has a sit in-hip bath with shower, toilet and basin, whilst the second incorporates a shower, toilet and basin. The space Flexi-Club on the Thames is a fleet of well presented narrow boats whose origins lay in the style of traditional narrow boats used on the inland waterways to carry cargo at the time of the industrial revolution. This type of holiday will allow you to visit some of England’s picturesque towns, villages and historic places along the River Thames and on the canal network. You will find, the easy going pace of life afloat tranquil and relaxing. Narrow boats will afford you a unique experience and introduction to a traditional part of English country life. You can cruise the Thames at your leisure, enjoying the tranquil surroundings. There are regular stops on the way where you can moor your boat and enjoy a glass of wine or try your hand at English ale at one of the many pubs, a sunset BBQ on the river bank or a walk into the local villages and towns and experience the many tourist attractions. As you head out along the Thames, you will begin to identify with your fellow “boaters” and friendly Lock Keepers. Local people enjoy the tow path for walks, many of whom will always give a friendly wave. Guest access Guests are able to use the narrow boat in its entirety. Other things to note Training is given to all guests and when you are happy and feeling confident, you may take command of your little ship and begin your adventure. Accommodation on board narrow boats is understandably compact. The seating areas have storage space under them but this is limited. We therefore encourage guests to pack lightly in small suitcases or bags that can be stowed away easily. For safety reasons, please ensure that you pack at least one pair of non-slip trainers/shoes for being on deck and for boat handling activities, these are especially important when the weather is wet to prevent slips and falls. Ladies might like to include a suitable pair of gloves for handling ropes. A waterproof and warm jacket/wind breaker for English weather conditions will see you in good stead.
