Fully self-contained with parking in a shared driveway, and sheltered private walled garden for your own personal use. Secluded with excellent public transport connections only 15 minutes away. Perfect for a romantic break or a family holiday, you'll find your soul soothed and your batteries recharged! Children and dogs particularly love this space. The Byre features one double bed and a single bed, and we can put an inflatable mattress for a fourth person. Please note that this is all one shared open space for the sleeping - the only doors are to the kitchen, bathroom and outside! Towels provided. Guest access Sole access to your own private walled garden, perfect for letting the dog out, having a BBQ or just sitting back and enjoying the birdsong! You're also welcome to explore our larger 7-acre garden which opens for the Scottish Garden Scheme. This includes a private woodland, a rambling burn (stream), several ponds, a small orchard, vegetable garden and long lawns with landscaped gardens that include a grass labyrinth and a summer wildflower meadow! Other things to note This is a rural location, very peaceful but with a long driveway not suitable for low slung cars. Parking is (of course!) free and directly next to the front door of the Byre. Glasgow Centre is an easy 15 minutes by train or 30 minutes by car. There are lots of great walks available nearby that we'd be happy to give you tips and suggested routes for! The Erskine Bridge, Gateway to the Highlands, is just a 15 minute drive away, as is the nearest train station and Glasgow International Airport. Ingliston Equestrian centre is a 5 minute drive away. There are several supermarkets within a short driving distance, and a good selection of local pubs and restaurants, some within reasonable (30 minutes) walking distance. In the Byre you'll find an extensive selection of brochures with local tourist information, and we are always happy to help with a bit of local knowledge! Dogs: We welcome well behaved dogs, as long as they don’t go on the furniture or upstairs; aren’t left alone unattended outside of a cage; and (for female dogs) aren’t in-season. Unfortunately, due to incidents with previous guests, this is a firm house rule, and if broken we will have no choice but to report it to AirBnB for resolution and an additional cleaning fee (£50). We are also very animal friendly, and have several dogs, peacocks, chickens and horses roaming around the garden and yard. If your dog is nervous or bad with other animals (like chickens!), please do let us know in advance.
