Apartment in historic village

South of Carcassonne, in the beautiful Corbière Hills, this one bedroom apartment nestles in the ancient village of Termes, at the foot of one of the most famous castles on the Cathar Trail. The space The village is surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery, which you can explore on waymarked paths. Below the village are the dramatic gorges of Termes, where waterfalls tumble through fantastically sculpted stone into turquoise pools. Guest access The gite is ideal for two but can sleep three. The upper part includes a living room with a convertible sofa, television, and fully-equipped kitchen, which includes a dishwasher, oven, microwave, cafetière, kettle and fridge with a small freezer. The village’s own supply of delicious spring water is on tap. The bedroom (with extra-long double bed) and bathroom are on the lower level, which is naturally cool in summer. The sofa can also be converted into a small double bed. All rooms have electric radiators, and a fan is provided in hot weather. A table and chairs outside the front door are ready for breakfast on a sunny morning. And there is a garden on a terrace above the gite, where you can eat your lunch or just relax. Other things to note Termes is just over an hour from Carcassonne airport, and two hours from Toulouse and Montpellier airports. It is also accessible from Perpignan and Girona airport in Spain. Narbonne rail station (with a connection via Lille to London) is just under an hour away.
