Sunny sea view top floor flat
Description
This lovely, spacious and peaceful one-bed top floor apartment in a listed Georgian property comes with uninterrupted sea views. It's well-equipped and is a very flexible space - it makes the perfect base for home working (three books & a PHD have been written from there so far), or is equally good for a short break . It's seconds away from the sea, and has popular places to eat and drink nearby. The Old Town, Turner Contemporary, and Cliftonville are easily accessible on foot too. The space This beautifully presented one-bed apartment comes in a listed Georgian property. Not only does it offer stunning sea views, it's also located in the perfect spot to enjoy Margate and the Kent coast. The flat is deceptively spacious with a flexible lounge / office / dining space - all with that sublime sea view and an adjacent kitchen also with sea views. The bathroom has both a bath and shower so you can refresh or soak to your heart's desire. It's an all-season flat - cosy in winter and fresh and cool in summer. It's the perfect place for a romantic break (especially with those sunsets); for extended stays including home-working (the wifi is excellent, the table can be extended to make a huge desk, and a printer can be supplied on request); or for a peaceful getaway. The flat is really quiet with zero noise from the apartments below. It's also very peaceful outside. The flat is so lovely and bright that you are guaranteed to feel uplifted just by being there. If you can drag yourself away, your base provides easy access to everything that makes Margate special, including the Old Town, the Main Sands beach and trendy Cliftonville. Guest access The flat is approximately 20 minutes walk from Margate station. Taxis are available at the station and should cost less than £5 to the flat. There is limited on-street parking outside but more around the corner or opposite. You can temporarily park outside the flat on the double-yellow lines to load or unload (I can't absolutely guarantee you won't get a ticket but it's never happened in over 10 years). Short-term parking is also available a few doors away in front of Fort cafe (max. 1 hour) and at Aldi supermarket (max. 11/2 hours) so long as you buy something (don't overstay though because there is cctv and they will send you a parking ticket if you do). Trinity Square car park and the Lido car park are also nearby. Other things to note Please note that the apartment is on the third floor and there is no lift. There IS a shower in the flat (Airbnb just doesn't provide a box to tick for a shower, only for a bath). There is both a futon and a large dining table with four chairs in the lounge, so the apartment can host more than two, though it is the perfect base for ideally a single person or couple. Please be aware that there are low sash windows in the kitchen and lounge, so young children would need to be supervised if they are left open. Basic supplies are provided, including an assortment of teas, coffee and condiments. There's also an Aldi supermarket just around the corner with extensive opening hours.
