The Cottage at The Hare, Farndon Chester
The Cottage at The Hare, Farndon Chester
Description
The Cottage at The Hare is a handsome Victorian workman's cottage and has been beautifully restored with a kitchen/diner, lounge, utility room and two en-suite bedrooms and reserved parking for two cars. You couldn’t call it a country cottage, it is, after all, in the pub car park but it is in the heart of the village of Farndon, a conservation area with lovely walks along the river Dee and over the water meadows, with easy travel distance to Chester, Wrexham and Liverpool. The space We’ve geared the cottage up for people who are looking for somewhere more homely than a local hotel. We’re thinking people working on one of the many industrial estates (Wrexham is the largest in Europe) or perhaps buying a house or moving house or anyone on a staycation or visiting friends and family in the local area. City centre Chester is a 15 minute drive away. It’s very comfortable when you want to stay in and you have a good pub to eat and drink in when you want some company. It has the facilities you’ll need for working including a good kitchen table with decent wi-fi and warmth. The kitchen has a 4 burner gas hob and electric fan oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge (no freezer) and all the usual pots, pans and utensils. There is a utility/ cloakroom with somewhere to wash your boots after a walk and a washing machine, there is no tumble dryer but there is a clothes Airer. The lounge has a log burner and we will provide you with enough wood to last your stay. A 32" smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple TV (you'll need your own accounts) with a comfortable double sofa and two single armchairs. Two good sized bedrooms with Vi-Spring king size beds with good quality Egyptian cotton bed linen. Both bedrooms have en-suites with lots of hot water and powerful showers (no baths). Towels are provided for your stay. We love dogs and would be pleased for you to bring them but would not be happy with them being left alone during the day. They’re welcome in the pub, too. The front door leads straight onto the carpark and there is no garden, so The Cottage is not suitable for young children. There are very steep, narrow stairs to the bedrooms and they are not suitable for people with mobility issues.
