Teddy's Cottage is a cosy one bedroom house with a pretty garden on the Northern edge of Dartmoor National Park. Ideal base for exploring the area and with fantastic pubs and places to visit nearby. Parking is outside in a communal parking area on a first come first served basis or otherwise nearby on the lane. It is in a bus route but best to bring a car. It oozes character and charm and is such a cosy retreat especially once you light the the wood burner. Open plan sitting room and kitchen with wooden floors, a window seat, three seater futon sofa bed. TV with Now TV with entertainment and Sky Cinema. Fully equipped kitchen with fridge, washing machine, Nespresso coffee machine and a cooker with separate grill and electric hob. High chair available on request. Upstairs there is a bedroom with wooden floors and a bespoke king size bed with rustic wooden head board. Window to the front of the cottage with metal Venetian blind. Chest of drawers and a TV with DVD player. There is a travel cot available on request. Separate bathroom with bath and electric shower. On the landing is a large cupboard with a hanging rail plus storage of iron, ironing board and clothes maiden. Immediately outside the glazed kitchen door is a small courtyard area with a couple of chairs and a side table, perfect for a morning coffee. Steps then lead up to main area of garden with a lawned area and flower beds, a paved pathway leading to a raised decked area with a table and four chairs. There are a couple of wooden loungers, a bench and a brazier for guests use. The garden is not fully secure so guests with dogs, please be aware. Other things to note There is non allocated parking outside the cottage or along the lane. The cottage is on a lane which is off the old A30 in a hamlet with no facilities. There are walks from the door and a couple of pubs are reachable on foot. The village of Cheriton Bishop nearby has a convenience store open until 9pm. Overall the location is very convenient but probably best to bring a car. We allow dogs but please request permission to bring more than one dog. Although we are happy to accept dogs, guests should be aware that the garden is not fully secure so may not be suitable for all dogs.
