Description
Welcome to Walkers Retreat, a short distance from civilization, but a world away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Sit outside on the patio and enjoy the glorious views of the Malvern Hills, or take a leisurely walk onto the common. Sit around the fire pit and gaze up at the stars. You don't have to be anywhere or do anything .. just relax. We are 3 miles away from Bromyard a Saxon settlement steeped in history, which retains its old world charm, offering local produce. The space Clive is a carpenter and has fitted a wonderful kitchen with integrated dishwasher and washing machine. Combination microwave oven and single oven, induction hob and built in fridge freezer There is underfloor heating throughout the chalet, which gives a cosy ambient temperature. The living room has a two seater reclining sofa and chair with footstools to ensure the perfect position, when watching the 50" flat screen smart T.V. with Netflix. The bedroom has a handcrafted kingsize bed, with an Emma Hybrid mattress. The bed will be made up for when you arrive. Behind the up-cycled chest of drawers is a USB point. The bathroom has a wonderful walk-in shower and heated towel rail, illuminated mirror and shaver point. All rooms have sliding doors out on to the patio with far stretching views of the Malvern Hills. Guest access Below the chalet and patio area is a small paddock. If you bring your dog with you, they are more than welcome to run around in this area. There is a pathway that leads to the paddock but it's not gated. Other things to note We will always offer you an earlier check-in time and later check-out time if we are able to, so please do ask. We put tea, coffee bags, sugar, milk and biscuits in the chalet, after a long journey, a cup of tea and biscuit is always welcome. If you have a special occasion while you're staying and would like us to arrange anything - i.e. a banner, balloons, cake we're very happy to do this. We provide dog towels and can offer water bowls, leads and blankets if need. Trail maps of the common are in the chalet, but I'm more than happy to give you a mini guided tour to get you started (Nellie our labradoodle will insist on joining us). If you do bring a furry friend and would like to visit somewhere that isn't dog friendly Clive and I offer a free dog sitting service. If you would like a breakfast hamper I can arrange this at an additional cost. We have secure storage for mountain bikes or fishing tackle if required.
