Panorama - lovely place in nature

This lovely and cozy place with a small garden and a large balcony is quietly and privately located at 1700 m in the farmer village Gasenried, close to Grachen and ideal for hiking, biking, skiing and relaxing. The house offers panoramic views; the backyard includes the Ried gletcher, the Nadelhorn and the Weisshorn. Be prepared: you can only reach the Chalet by foot (50m uphill, with luggage). Note: the place is NOT ideal for guests that only want to use it as a stop-over for visiting Zermatt ! The space The small but cozy apartment (40m2) is the lower part of Chalet Panorama; the apartment is recently (2022) renovated. It has a separate entrance, a small garden, a large balcony, a living room (with bay window) and open kitchen, a bedroom, a small hall and a modern bathroom with shower and toilet. From all windows you enjoy incredible views. Your neighbors are hardworking farmers and/or beautiful sheep, goats, cows, donkeys and alpaca's. At night it can be very dark (bring a torch), during the day it is often sunny. After snowy or rainy days it might be a bit more challenging to reach the front door, since the path to the Chalet is not paved and not always cleaned. Guests can use the entire place, the lower balcony, the garden, the outside table and the BBQ (bring your own wood!). You have access to free and unlimited WIFI and a private parking down the road (see pictures). 2 basic mountain bikes and helmets are available for a small fee. The place is also suitable for babies; a baby bed is available at extra costs. The kitchen contains all necessary equipment: various pots & pans, a (Nespresso) coffee machine, water boiler, raclette and fondue gear, a small oven, a microwave and a fridge, as well as an induction cooking plate (2). There is no dishwasher and no freezer. Bedlinen, towels and dishcloths are provided, as well as soap, shampoo and toilet paper for the first days. Guest access Guests can access all parts described above. The access from the parking lot down the street is about 3-5 minutes walk (uphill). From the first stall, where you can unload your luggage, it is a 2-3 minutes walk (50m). From the busstop in the village it is about 5-7 minutes walk and from the bus stop in Grachen it is a beautiful 30-40 minutes walk along one of the water canals; if you take the Bineri you end up at the apartment level of the chalet. Please note: It is helpful to realize that this place in nature (45 min. away from the railway station) is NOT ideal for guests that travel with suitcases and only want to use it for a stop-over to visit of Zermatt/Matterhorn. This place is best for guests that want to enjoy the beauty of the Ried gletcher, the 4000m peaks, the cows, sheep and the silence of Gasenried ! Other things to note Please note that there are additional costs if you bring your pet(s) or need the baby bed and linen. There are 2 parking lots down the road that belong to Chalet Panorama; you need to park your car within the yellow area on the Parking Permit that I will send to you and that should be visibly placed in your car. Important: Preferably arrive during daytime and prepare yourself for a stay at 1700 m. Read the instructions! It might be difficult to find the Chalet in the dark and in the snow.
