Description
Hakuna Matata resort is a 144 acre private property in Booral NSW (2.5 hrs north of Sydney) and has places available for you to stay on weekends or during the week. There are numerous sites on the property to set up tents, either in a group or in a more secluded area where you will feel like you are alone in the bush. Some sites are grassed, some are sloped, and some are more ‘earthy’. The space This listing is used when smaller groups may already have booked Simba, Pumbaa, Zazu or Rafiki and a second group can also camp in that area. There are a number of basic toilets on the property for campers, though there may be a short walk to these from where you are camped. Many utilise the bush itself for 'number 1s'. Similarly, there are cold water, outdoor showers located in some areas, though many swim in the dam to get refreshed. There are firepits at many camp spots and cooking can occur on these fires but it is expected that campers mostly bring their own cooking gear. Saying that, there are a few gas BBQs at various spots that can be used. There are picnic chairs and tables at most campsites. Most campsites are open with no covered areas. some groups bring gazebos for poor weather. Most sites are still available during wet weather as they are located at the top of a hill and so do not get too boggy. Tracks are generally ok for 2wd vehicles to access most sites. Fires are ok unless there is a fire ban. Guests can bring their own firewood or Hakuna Matata resort can provide for a fee. Please note that Hakuna Matata resort charges camping PER PERSON PER NIGHT. Airbnb does not insure or make bookings of groups of more than 16 persons, but Hakuna Matata resort can cater for much larger bookings. For larger groups than 16, it is suggested you look for other ways of contacting Hakuna Matata resort. Guest access The safari tent area (Mufasa) is generally booked privately, so please be respectful of guests there. Swimming and water activities can occur in the dam at the bottom of the property, but swimming after dark is not allowed, and we ask that no swimming occurs before 9am. Other things to note Alcohol and smoking is permitted but please take your rubbish with you, including cigarette butts and bottle tops. Also, please do not throw glass / cans into fires. Also, please ensure you pick up any accidentally broken glass. It is expected that groups take all their rubbish home with them so please bring bin bags. Please do not leave your rubbish in our street as you leave the premises!! Stroud landfill (10 kms away) is open on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays. For larger group bookings, a $500 cash bond is collected on arrival from the guest who made the booking and this is returned if there is no damage or rubbish remaining at checkout. We know that partying means alcohol for many people. Please be respectful of others and the property. We have a swimming dam and we ask that people do not drink at this area and also do not go in the water while intoxicated. Although you are in the bush and neighbours are a long way away, it is requested that noise is kept to a reasonable level. You can party for sure!! But bass in particular travels in the valleys and neighbours can get annoyed. Please respect me if you are asked to either turn down the bass or the noise overall. Generally, bass is turned down at 12am and all music is strictly turned off at 1am. Also, please respect that this is my home, particularly at the shed house along the driveway. Please do not congregate at the house and if you need to ask something, send a message or make a phone call. Registration Details PID-STRA-8354
