Mountains and city: Two twin rooms

Two pretty twin rooms in old stone house, sharing bathroom. Rooms have twin beds, and a supplementary bed is available for the larger room. Ideal for families or small groups. In a rural area of Durango, 30 mins from Bilbao. Breakfast is included. The space Our stone-built house in a country area of Biscay is a great base for visiting the cities of Bilbao (30 mins away), San Sebastián & Vitoria, with great walking in the beautiful Urkiola National Park on our doorstep, and the chance to experience life in a small Basque village. 10 mins walk from the picturesque old town of Abadiño, and 3 kms. from Durango with its good public transport links & motorway from Bilbao. Please note the ceilings are low on the wall side of rooms and two flights of stairs to second floor. The house is on a bus route from Bilbao, and near motorway and train line Bilbao-San Sebastián. There is wifi in the whole house, and we have lots of ideas and info on things to do in the area, whether you fancy days out in the city, exploring the lovely Biscay coast and beaches, or doing some of the wonderful walking routes in the mountains nearer home. The lovely historic town of Elorrio is a 10 minute bus journey away, and there are plenty of things to do locally from bird-watching to rock-climbing, horse-riding etc. apart from getting to know the local towns and villages and sampling the marvellous Basque food. e.g. 4 kms from 'Asador Etxebarri' (on '50 best restaurants in world' list), and 8 kms from Michelin-starred 'Boroa', together with many smaller local places we can help you discover. We love having people to stay and look forward to making you feel at home. Guest access During the Coronavirus crisis you may prefer not to use the shared sitting-room downstairs, but there are two spacious outside terraces for sitting out and having a drink or for breakfast outside. The dining room is also available for breakfast inside, which will be served to your table with separate sittings per room during the current situation.
