A cheerful single storey dwelling in Central Scotland. By car we are 15 mins NW of Stirling, 1 hr to Edinburgh, 45 mins to Glasgow & 2 hrs to Oban and ferries to the Western Isles. There is NO bus route nearby and the nearest train station is 15 mins away. The bumpy driveway is not suitable for low slung cars. Please note...THERE ARE NO COOKING FACILITIES - except a small microwave, kettle & toaster. I'm afraid the Old Piggery is unsuitable for children or pets. The space The Old Piggery is comfortable and warm with views from the sitting room to the south. Guest access There are 4 x single beds. A microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle are provided with tea, coffee, bread & cereals for your breakfast in a kitchen area. There is an open plan sitting room with a kitchen area. Other things to note The first guest is £75 per night and any other guests are £55 per night. Glasgow, with it's famous Kelvingrove Museum & many other attractions is only 35 minutes on the train. Gleneagles Hotel and golf course are less than 30 minutes away, as well as many other golf courses and fishing opportunities for enthusiasts to enjoy. The Trossachs National Park and Blair Drummond Safari park are close. Doune Castle featured in TV's Outlander & Monty Python's Holy Grail movie is worth a visit, not to mention Stirling Castle & numerous other historic sights. We are also 5 mins drive from Deanston Distillery where it is possible to have tours & tastings. Edinburgh is an hour away on the train. The best place to park your car is Bridge of Allan car park and catch the train from there. There are normally extra late trains back during the Edinburgh Festival in August.
