Pinewood Cottage - Wood Villa amidst lush greenery

Welcome to Pinewood Cottage, located 22 mins away from Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple, a beautiful wooden villa filled with art, trees, music, pets, and love. Experience peace, nature and tranquility in the midst of a bustling quaint old city, Madurai, known for its rich cultural heritage and ancient monuments. The wooden house is one of its kind in Madurai, built with recycled pinewood from distant lands. All that we ask you is to have fun, relax, laugh, and leave the property as you found it! The space Indoor Space The villa has everything one can ask for; indoor ecstasies as well as outdoor fun elements. The indoor space is divided into a bedroom, sit-out, and an open kitchen. The bedroom has a huge king-size bed and a wall-mounted TV to enjoy your favorite Netflix dramas at the comfort of our premium spine safe mattress. There's a workspace for your laptops and a high-speed WiFi connection as well. I’ve put in a lovely black acoustic guitar and a Mridhangam(a south Indian folk percussion instrument) for the amateur musicians who visit my place. There’s a lovely Easel for the Picassos and Da Vincis out there. There are ample books for you to read during your tea time. The attached bathroom is fitted with a water heater, hair-dryer, and premium state-of-the-art shower fittings. Outdoor Space Sit in the outdoor bathtub and sunbathe on a hot day or dip yourself in the middle of the night to look at shooting stars in the eastern sky while enjoying the sounds of the night. On a cold night, light the campfire and use the guitar to play your favorite songs. There’s a hand-made sturdy swing downstairs for you to sit and feel the evening breezes or sleep on it if it feels good and rock like a baby. I’ve made two old-fashioned reclining chairs that will give you the comfort that no bed can ever give. There are board games, carrom, and playing cards too. There’s also an outdoor dining area beside the beautiful marble statue of Krishna. On top of all this, you will find a super friendly great-Dane, some Guinea fowls, and a beautiful fish pond to sit beside and have a drink. There are some dumbells, barbells, a yoga mat, a pull-up and dips bar, for your holiday workouts. Often guests will not feel like leaving the property, given the plentiful outdoor spaces to relax, it feels like a small resort in itself! But if you feel inspired, there are always fun things to do in Madurai. Guest access Guest have access to the entire property, except the other unit Stargaze Villa, which is for the neighboring guest. Other things to note Madurai is known for its delicious South Indian cuisine at economical prices. Both Swiggy and Zomato deliver to our place from all the top restaurants in Madurai. On top, we can help you order the food and you can pay us. At night you can sleep safe and sound, we are located in a good residential neighborhood. We have created a farmhouse kind of ambience not in a remote area, but in a warm residential locality.
