Maria's Rooms
Maria's Rooms
Description
Relax with a Greek coffee on your private balconies with panoramic views of the mountains and the Ikarian Sea. A small port, which many locals frequently swim at, is a 150 meter downhill walk. A local beach called Firodi is another 350 meters from the port. Seychelles Beach can also be accessed from the port by small boat trip during summer months. The space On the upper floor of a private home the apartment has one common space with a kitchen, two bedrooms and private bathroom. It is accessed by a private entrance from an exterior stairwell. Each bedroom has its own balcony with sea view and its own air conditioning heating unit. The apartment has two bedrooms and can be booked for 2 to 4 people. The main entrance is in one of the bedrooms. Guest access Guests have private and exclusive access to whole upper floor apartment. Other things to note IMPORTANT- Magganitis is a beautiful but remote village. Ikaria is a very mountainous island making driving and distances long and difficult as there are many twists and turns on the roads and there is also lots of elevation change. Also, Ikaria has NO bus services. Taxis are booked weeks and sometimes months ahead of time. There are no taxis waiting at taxi stands to hire to take you to your destination. As distances are far taxis can also be a bit on the expensive side. Harbor to Magganitis is a 1 hour drive. Airport to Magganitis takes 1¼ hours to drive. There are also NO car rental agencies with available cars to rent at either of the ports or the airport. As is it is highly recommended if not 100% essential to rent a car or book a taxi well ahead of your visit to the island. This way you can have transportation to and from the port or airport, and also give you the freedom to explore the other parts of the island...please feel to contact me with any concerns or questions regarding island transportation.
