Modern chalet with unique panorama in Gruyère

Discover the Gruyère region by staying in front of the unique panorama of the Gastlosen, in the calm and sunshine, 5 minutes from Charmey (ski lifts, thermal baths) and 10 minutes from Gruyères, 35 minutes from Montreux/Vevey and Fribourg, 1 hour from Lausanne. Many hikes are possible from the chalet, such as the Mont Biffé, or the Tour du Lac de Montsalvens. Our fully equipped chalet is perfect for a couple or a family: wifi, TV, fitted kitchen. The space The main decor in the chalet is the panorama. The view is unique : you are high above Charmey, literally facing the mountains (rather than the valley floor). The sunshine is ideal, all year round (above the fog in winter). The heart of the chalet is the living room with its open plan kitchen and living room. On the same level, the master bedroom (1 double bed) also faces south-east, facing the Gastlosen. The bed was made by our former neighbour, a carpenter, David, in arolle wood. A large bathroom with bathtub is connected to this room on one side and to the entrance/kitchen on the other. On the first floor (attic), a small bedroom (two beds 90x 190), and a living room (sofa bed). The lower bedroom has sliding doors. The upstairs bedroom has a standard door. The TV area where the sofa bed is located is open and cannot be closed or darkened. The location of the chalet and its layout invite you to a digital-detox stay! But... a wifi connection is of course available! As well as a TV in the living room (Blue TV + Netflix). The chalet is not air-conditioned: it is located in the mountains, at an altitude of 1000m. It has large bay windows, which provide optimum ventilation, even in summer. If required, a Dyson fan is available upstairs. Guest access The chalet is entirely at the disposal of travellers. Other things to note Access by public transport possible but difficult, especially in winter (bus stop 20 min walk, with significant difference in altitude). Small chalet well suited for a couple or a family.
