The space Villa Il Cubo is a full centralized air conditioned private house with large private swimming pool placed in the best garden's spot for incredible views on the countryside around. Decoration has been updated with charming details that will make you enjoy the best Tuscany has to offer. It can confortably host up to 12 people. The interior is light, airy and elegantly furnished with antique and modern design furniture. The views on all four sides are stunning panoramas of rolling Tuscan countryside with the town of Montepulciano only few miles to the west. Its grounds are completely surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. The villa has two main floors each with its own kitchen to make you feel independent in case you travel with friends and/or family. There is a large swimming pool set (14 x 3,5 m) in a large garden with well watered lawns and tall trees providing ample shade even in the hottest summer. There is free wireless internet connection throughout the villa and the garden. The ground floor apartment has a large entrance, spacious living/kitchen/dining room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The upper apartment is on two floors: on the first there is a study, a spacious living/kitchen/dining room, two bedrooms, one bathroom and in the loft under the eaves, therefore limited headroom, there is a second very large bathroom with a 2m x 1m sunken bath, a study/living room with two single beds and a bedroom with 2 double beds. In the surrounding area of the villa you can visit the enchanting town of Montepulciano with its architectural and artistic attractions (Etruscan, Roman, Medioeval, Reinassance, Baroque) and its ‘cantine’ where you can taste and buy the famous Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Nearby is the lake of Trasimeno, as are the beautiful Unesco protected valleys of Val D'Orcia and Val di Chiana, the towns of Pienza, Cortona, Chiusi, Cetona, San Quirico D'Orcia, all famous for their artistic heritage, and Montalcino where again you can visit its ‘cantine’ where the world famous Brunello di Montalcino is produced. Other possible excursions are the thermal towns of Bagno Vignoni, San Casciano dei Bagni and Bagni San Filippo, where you may enjoy a hot thermal bath and relax in one of the several spas. The picturesque small towns of Monticchiello, Montefollonico and Lucignano d'Asso are definitely worth a visit as is the Basilica of Monte Uliveto Maggiore with its magnificent frescos. The fabled cities of Siena and Arezzo are only a 45 minute drive away. Not much further are Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto and Florence. Guest access The entire villa and garden are of exclusive use of our guests. Other things to note IN JULY AND AUGUST WE LET FOR A MINIMUM OF 7 DAYS FROM SATURDAY TO SATURDAY. We are forced to collect local taxes when you arrive at the villa. It is just one euro per adult per day. Sorry about that but is the law and the council checks Airbnb to see the amount of tourists we receive. The collected taxes is then given to the council to promote arts and tourist events.
