Outside there is a huge garden and under the apple tree live three lovely hens who will make every effort to keep you in fresh eggs during your stay! In the local village of Hemyock (1.5 miles from the cottage) you will find a pub (The Catherine Wheel) offers great food. Also, there is also the Post Office and general stores where you can grab the essentials such as bread, milk, newspaper etc. The towns of Wellington (in Somerset) and Honiton (in Devon) are around 15 minutes drive from the cottage. The cottage is around 30 minutes drive to the beach (Simouth, Lyme Regis) and The River Cottage Canteen in Axminster. The cottage’s central position on the Blackdown Hills, near the Devon/Somerset border, offers easy access to the beach and the South West’s attractions. This holiday cottage is available throughout the year for weekend, midweek and full week breaks. Guest access Guests have full access to this self catering holiday cottage and it's gardens. From the cottage there is a number of footpaths which can take you over this fields from where you will be able to see and enjoy our ducks, geese, pigs and Hereford cattle.
