In the heart of the countryside of the Touraine region, surrounded by fields and woods, La Gaudière is conducive to calm and rest. It is an ideal property to "recharge your batteries": walking, swimming in the Creuse, visits to the local heritage (castles of the Loire, medieval towns), flea markets, local produce and gastronomy, spa (La Roche-Posay). You can visit villages such as La Guerche, La Roche-Posay (thermal spa 8 km away), Descartes (16 km), Le Grand-Pressigny (10 km, its castle and its museum on Prehistory). Other picturesque sites are worth discovering such as: Angles sur Anglin, Preuilly sur Claise, Montrésor, Richelieu, Loches and its medieval festival, Tours, Poitiers (Futuroscope)... The castles and vineyards of the Loire Valley: Chenonceau, Amboise, Chinon, Saumur, Azay le Rideau etc. are less than 1 hour 30 minutes away by car. In addition, many flea markets take place throughout the summer. You will discover the local gastronomy (wines, cheeses...) as well as many regional festivals. The nearby Brenne Natural Park is worth a visit. You can swim in the Creuse. In Lésigny (5 km from La Gaudière) there is a well-equipped and supervised beach. For fishing lovers, the Creuse and the Claise will charm you. To be quieter, the "Bords de Creuse" a few km from the village of Chambon are ideal for summer swimming. From the house, many possibilities for walking, cycling...
