The whole journey from Kyoto Sta to the house takes about 15min by JR train and a short walk. The big plus is that there are 2 train stations JR Inari Sta and Keihan Fushimi Inari Sta within 5min from the house, that can take you to all the Kyoto's hot spots! Please smoke in front of the convenience store that has an ashtray. After years of living in Japan we found our favorite spot, that is the neighborhood surrounding the Fushimi Inari shrine. It combines the friendliness, peacefulness and relaxed atmosphere of the Japanese residential area. Only 4 minutes walk from there, it makes you feel like you have traveled back in time to 8th century Japan; like a dream. Fushimi Inari Shrine was selected as the No.1 tourist attraction in Japan in 2014 (tripadvisor). The house is located 5 minutes walk from two main train lines the Keihan Line and JR Nara Line. The location is very convenient and easy to get to because of these two main lines crossing paths. By train: 5 minutes to central Kyoto, 50 minutes to Nara, 40 minutes to Osaka. Guest access This house is completely private, and you won't share with anyone else. During your stay, all your private is secured while you explore the magic of Fushimi Inari Shrine and all the shops nearby. Other things to note ①ABOUT CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT ※Check-in time is from 15:00. If you wish to have an early check in, let us know in advance and we will check if it is possible. High speed internet to use at home and in addition portable (pocket) wifi to use outdoors - all complimentary. We also have two bicycles that you are welcome to use during your stay. ※Check-out time is before 10:00. Please leave the house key into the key box at the entrance. ※Please don't drag your suitcase on the street in the neighbourhood between 22:00-07:00 as it causes loud noises. ②ABOUT ACCOMMODATION FORM & PASSPORT COPIES We kindly ask you to submit accommodation forms and passport copies of all the guests staying in our guesthouse after completing your reservation with us. We will send you the form to fill in. If you are 5 persons, please provide 5 sets of forms and passport copies. ③ABOUT ACCOMMODATION TAX Starting on October 1, 2018, Kyoto City imposes an accommodation tax on all guests staying in Kyoto City. The tax is 200 JPY per person each night. This fee is not included in the hotel rate. However, from March 1, 2026, the accommodation tax calculation will be changed. If your check in date is from March 1st and later, we will let you know the price in advance of your arrival. ④ABOUT ROOM RATES It is better to check room rates via the Airbnb website instead of asking us, because the rates fluctuate according to currency exchange rates and we cannot take this into consideration . ⑤ABOUT WELCOME GUIDE We will send you all the essential information (Welcome Guide) for your smooth check-in once your forms and passport copies are submitted, and accommodation tax got paid. ⑥Smoking is NOT allowed inside and outside the guesthouse. If you want to smoke, please go to convenience stores where they have ashtrays. ⑦Please do not leave any big rubbish such as suitcases, clothes, cardboard boxes etc without letting us know. In Japan rubbish disposal regulation is very strict, and we are obliged to pay additional fee to dispose those rubbish. If you do need to throw a suitcase away, please let us know in advance so we can help you accordingly. ★Please let us know if you would like to stay longer than 30 days.
