Pool Cottage

Mount Rhodes is a heritage site, part of this building has been divided off to make " Pool Cottage", steeped in history with sea views and mountains views to die for. Designed by Sir Herbert Baker in 1890 and constructed for the statesman Cecil John Rhodes who resided part of his time here whilst in South Africa. This building was the original building of Mount Rhodes estate in 1890 and remained so until 1962 when it was divided into plots by our infamous Sol Kerzner. The space The first impact is the mountains to the left of the property with a stunning view, you then turn to the right of the cottage and you have Chapman's peak and the ocean to test the surf. Elegant period decor with a distinct boutique hotel ambiance. This cottage overlooks rolling lawns and a sparkling pool set in a tropical garden. Offering tranquil surroundings, visiting birdlife and captivating mountain vistas. Enjoy evening sunsets on the patio with a window view of Hout Bay and Chapman's Peak. This is an exclusive guest cottage which has been a dream of mine for fifteen years, to share my peace of paradise with you. I've grown to appreciate the energy and peace this property has brought me and the wonderful people I have met on my journey. Guest access Guests will have access to the pool area enjoying the Patio and Braai facility available. They are free to amble around the gardens at their leisure. Maid and laundry service is available, prices on request for longer stays. Secure off-street parking in the car parking area. Other things to note Hout Bay is centrally situated to all the major tourist amenities. The views are stunning in this village, there are a lot of little gems around. There are ferries to Robin Island, Seal Island, Shark cage diving. Parasailing, Scuba diving, Paddling, Supping, Canoeing along with various other activities including Hiking, Biking and Harley motorbike hire are just a few of the suggestions. 25 minute drive to Cape Point, Table mountain, The City, Ratanga Junction water park, Waterfront for shopping, entertainment the list is endless.
