Ikhaya means "home" in the Zulu African language, and it is our intention to make you feel at home when staying with us. We have created a scrupulously clean, comfortable and well equipped private space for you to enjoy during your stay in Adelaide. The bathroom has been totally renovated and is designed to make full use of the compact space available. It is supplied with fresh fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand wash as well as a hairdryer and hair straightener. The kitchenette is equipped for self catering purposes. Cutlery, crockery, induction cooker, electric frypan, hotplate, microwave and toaster is available for your use. Essentials such as salt, pepper, oil and vinegar is available for you to use as well as a few other little snacks. We provide you with a basic STARTER breakfast of orange juice, granola, sultana bran, bread for toast, home-made jams and preserves and fresh fruit. We provide gluten and lactose free options on request. Tea, coffee and assorted milks is also provided. We encourage you to be adventurous and try Rooibos a delicious South African red tea. There is a comfy queen size bed with fresh hotel quality linen, a wardrobe with full-length mirror as well as a couch on which you can relax while you watch the large flat screen TV. The upstairs loft has a comfortable single bed, a lounge chair as well as a desk should you need to do business work. Other features include free WiFi, iron, ironing board, laundry hand washing facilities and your own private garden to enjoy. This is a smoke free environment and is small pet friendly. Guest access You have exclusive access via an electronic keypad to Ikhaya, our beautiful guest wing, as well as exclusive access to the private and secure pet friendly garden in front. Check in anytime from 2pm. Check out by 10am. Other things to note * If you are looking to stay in the heart of Adelaide with its vibrance and noise, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a beautiful and leafy garden sanctuary in the foothills of the Adelaide Hills, away from the vibrant pace and bustle of the city, you've come to the right place! * Please take care when using the stairs to the loft workspace/bedroom. The loft has a low ceiling in places so you need to mind your head when up there. * For stays longer than 6 nights we provide you with fresh towels. * For stays 8 days or longer we provide you with fresh linen. * Laundry - Ikhaya has hand washing facilities and we provide you with laundry liquid and a clothes drying rack. There is a laundromat close by, but if you prefer, we provide a wash, dry and fold service for $15 per load.
