Ideal for city explorers! The space This historic building was originally constructed in 1888 by Vladimir Mardanov during a time when Tbilisi was a vibrant center for trade and culture. Wealthy merchants often built elegant homes here, and this building was no exception. It was originally two floors high, featuring large open balconies and two entrances: one leading to the elegant second-floor living quarters, and the other to the courtyard, where rooms were used by servants. In the early 20th century, during the Soviet era, a third floor was added. Sadly, the building lost some of its original beauty – including decorative columns, a pyramid-style glass ceiling above the staircase, and an ornate lamp that once lit the entrance. Despite the changes, you can still feel the charm of 19th-century Old Tbilisi architecture. Over the years, it has been home to various residents, including the renowned actress of Griboedov theatre Natalia Burmistrova. She had been living in the territory of the Guest house on the second floor. Some of her furniture and belongings are still kept here. The building's rich history includes a period as the residence of famous artist Natalia Burmistrova of Griboedov Theatre. She had been living in the territory of the Guest house on the second floor.
