Red Room - Monte da Casteleja

The Red Room, integrated in a traditional Algarvian House, has the simplicity of a country room. With a minimalist decor, this double/twin room with bathroom and an outdoor terrace, invites our guests to relax and enjoy the tranquility of the farm while tasting our organic wine. Here we produce excellent organic wine and live in harmony with the surrounding nature. The quinta is less than 5 minutes from the lively city of Lagos and its beautiful beaches. The space The room is integrated in the Main House of our Farm - a traditional Algarvean Monte - Monte da Casteleja - which produces wine and other regional products from certified organic agriculture. Monte is a peaceful and perfect place to relax, away from the hustle and bustle of tourism and in rural surroundings, but only minutes away from the charming and lively town of Lagos and its magnificent coastline, where each beach has its own unique character. Our visitors stay in comfortable and cosy accommodations, built with techniques typical of the area and fine materials - the wooden beams, the stone walls, the handmade tiled floors, the traditional reed ceilings - which naturally give them a special rustic atmosphere. We do not provide television or air conditioning, as here we value the contact and harmony with nature. All life on the farm is guided by a strong ecological awareness, which translates into the respect for biodiversity and the sustainable management of all available resources. Agricultural activity respects the rhythm of the seasons, becoming more visible and present at harvest time (late August/early September) when the grapes - which have been ripening in the heat of the summer - are picked in an atmosphere of great celebration. Guests are welcome to participate in this important moment that happens once a year, as well as in any other for which they have curiosity and interest.
