Le Tilleul is an extremely old house on the edge of a medieval village, just meters from the castle walls at Larressingle. There are 3 bedrooms, sleeping 8 in total (2+2+4), a lounge and a kitchen-diner. Large garden with a private heated pool The space It is an old house, called Le Tilleul, a few meters from the "Carcassonne du Gers" Larressingle, on the paths of Compostelle. The house and garden are private, as well as the heated saltwater pool, 8 m x 4 m, completely hidden from view. The house has a very well-equipped kitchen: fridge, freezer, oven and microwave, dishwasher. The air-conditioned kitchen looks like a farm kitchen, with its large table for 8, armchairs and a wood-burning stove in the fireplace. There are two bedrooms on the first floor (one air-conditioned bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom, and half a floor above, one bedroom under the majestic frame: four single beds. The beams make this room a room for children or teenagers because one of them cuts the room at 1.50 from the floor. There is, on the ground floor, another shower room and a second double bedroom. In the air-conditioned living room, a French TV (DTT) and British TV (satellite), DVD player, a choice of DVDs, a CD player, CDs, books, games etc. The house is in the heart of the village but the garden is surrounded by walls and it is very quiet even in summer. The pool is completely out of sight. The garden gate can be locked. The outdoor table is in the shade of the majestic linden tree that gives its name to the house. Dogs and children will be safe there. Sheets and towels: If you wish: 16 euros per double bed and 12 euros per single bed 12 euros per set of towels including pool towel Guest access The whole house is accessible, with a lounge downstairs overlooking the private courtyard and pool. Two of the bedrooms are upstairs including the master bedroom (double bed) with its old (unused) fireplace and the main bathroom. A huge bedroom sleeps four in single beds (easy to push together for twin beds) but two beds are beyond a low beam which is ideal for children and teenagers. One cosy double room is downstairs at the back of the house and there is also a downstairs shower room and toilet. A utility room has a washing machine. Other things to note The medieval fortified village of Larressingle is just 50m away. You can look through the front gate from the lane outside. It is the most popular tourist attraction in the Gers. However, it never seems to get crowded, even in July and August, and is always peaceful in the morning and evening when you can have pretty much the whole area to yourselves.
