The space We hope you will quickly feel this is your home away from home! Your safety, privacy, & quiet are of utmost importance to us. As you may notice from the extensive list of amenities, every effort has been made to ensure your comfort during your stay. Please don't hesitate to ask for something that would make your time here more enjoyable. The large kitchen & laundry nook are shared spaces with potentially up to 3 other guests, but we are blessed with a very spacious home, and most of our guests tend to keep to themselves, so you'll find that even the common spaces feel very private & quiet. Additionally - we on-site free parking, complimentary coffee, a very large, fully stocked kitchen with dedicated private spaces for each guest in the cupboards & fridge. Although the bathroom is shared, most of the time, the other guest room is vacant, so you'll likely have it all to yourself. Feel free to ask us about any possible upcoming reservations during the dates of your scheduled stay. - We have our own small kitchen in our private suite, so guests have full use of the main kitchen, which includes private storage, fridge space, & dishware, as well as induction stovetop, oven, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. - The laundry room, which is located in the breakfast nook, includes washer & dryer, detergents, dryer sheets. - Front porch and front yard. Because of our dogs, the side yards & backyard are strictly off-limits to guests, as well as other wings of the house. IMPORTANT: - Our dogs live in the opposite end of the house, separated from guests at all times. For this reason, we NEVER allow guests past the kitchen, into our offices, or in the backyard. During your stay - We do not socialize with our guests, but we are available through the Airbnb app from 9am - 9pm, should you have questions or need anything for your stay. - For everyone's safety, we make ourselves available to greet all guests in person upon arrival. A "Guest Manual" will be accessible in your itinerary, so that you aren't overwhelmed with a lengthy orientation. After introducing ourselves - we leave you to enjoy your room & get settled. - Socializing with other guests is discouraged to ensure the privacy, comfort, & quiet for everyone in the house. - For guests staying 30 days or more, we require access to your room once a month for a quick inspection and a full cleaning. Other things to note 2024 COVID-19 HEALTH & SAFETY NOTICE The following practices allow us to continue providing a safe, healthy, & comfortable experience for you & all of our guests, especially those traveling internationally or in the medical profession. Thank you for your cooperation! What We Continue to Do - Wearing a face mask when requested & practicing social distancing at all times. For the safety of of everyone in the household, we meet all guests in person on arrival, but the greeting will be brief. All other communications is through Airbnb messaging. - Limiting our time in the common areas to maintenance & upkeep. - ALL surfaces (including walls, carpets, drapes, windows, furniture, appliances, decor, remotes, doorknobs, etc.) are treated with virucidal disinfectant (EPA-approved emerging viral pathogens claim) during our routine cleaning. - Spacing out guest departures & arrivals for the same room by more than 48 hours. - All linens & towels in the room are laundered afterward, so additional items are available upon request. - Staying current with the most recent travel & health advisories, Airbnb requirements, & vaccination recommendations. - Providing a free test if you develop symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle aches, new loss of taste/smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and/or diarrhea. Refunding you for all cancelled nights of your stay if you report a positive test. What We Need You To Do - Read & observe our House Rules before booking, & our Guest Manual before you arrive. - Refrain from openly commenting or criticizing anyone’s choice to wear a mask. - Socializing with other members of the household is prohibited, and you must practice safe social distancing for any other limited interaction. - Although federal, state, & county safety guidelines are still occasionally updated, all guests are responsible for staying informed, and adhering to them when leaving the house. Please let us know if you need referrals to current resources. - The kitchen & bathrooms have been supplied with disinfectant. Please spray sink areas & faucet handles after use, and feel free to use on other surfaces around the house as you see fit. Guests staying 7 days or more are required to clean the bathroom from top to bottom at least once/week. - Please wash your hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds before & after using shared areas of the house. - While washing hands is the best form of reducing the spread of germs, our entryway is supplied with EPA-approved hand sanitizer, as an added line of defense. - Please cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. - Please report any symptoms exhibited by other members of the household to us immediately.
