Description
In a private park of an old 18th century manor house, the Domaine de Bourgville offers the "Mûrier" room located on the first floor of a converted stable, which we have redone in a contemporary and rustic style. South of Loudun, the Domaine de Bourgville is located a stone's throw from Monts sur Guesnes, a small village with all shops. We are close to Chinon (29 km) and Richelieu (15 km) and for a more futuristic visit, Futuroscope is located 38 km away. The space Originally, Bourgville was a medieval fortress, a defensive element of the Loudunaise region. In the 18th century, it was the property of the Marquis de Persan and was sold in 1791 to a bourgeois of Paris, secretary of King Louis XVI, who was guillotined in Paris on May 16, 1794. From 1816, Bourgville was redeveloped and enlarged. The large building was rented to the administration from January 1, 1833 to December 31, 1871 as a mounted gendarmerie to replace the "Chêne Vert" hotel located at the crossroads of Rue Saint Avertin and Rue du Château. This house belongs to the same family of notables (notaries, doctors, mayors) for two centuries: the Gravier-Bernier. Guest access The common room where breakfast is offered and the living room for relaxation. Other things to note Yannick and Olivier offer breakfast at 8.50 EUR/adult and dinner at our table d'hôtes (contact us for rates), gourmet seasonal cuisine, which showcases local products.
