Chamonix Centre Apartment

Very central location, shops and restaurants on the doorstep. Views of the Aiguilles Rouges. The Brevent + Aiguille du Midi lifts, trains, and bus are walking distance Fits 2-4 people (not more). On 3rd floor with no lift. This apartment is NOT a good fit if noise bothers you. At times it can be tranquil but can also have noise from the cinema below or from people outside. The space A cosy apartment in the town centre, traditional interior. Ideal base for people who want convenience of town with shops/restaurantbut also want option to prepare meals at home. Grocery stores and Tourist Office are a minute walk. It's in a historic building with no elevators so it is a walk to the 3rd floor for the apartment, but many families have stayed there. There are 2 bedrooms. One with double bed in a room a bit darker. The other bedroom has twin beds and faces the Place de l'Eglise and Brevent. The bathroom has bathtub with shower head above (toilet is in the same bathroom). It is ideal for 2-4people (not good for more). Potential Noise: The apartment does not face the main pedestrian street so there is not much of that kind of city buzz but big events like the Ultra Trail Mt Blanc and other central chamonix events can be loud on the microphone. It is a very central location so there can be some noise from commercial sites and the building does house the cinema (which can be no nuissance or can cause noise vibration in the apartment, typically it fiishes latest around 11pm). Summary: It is a great fit if you want a convenient, quaint base in the centre of an amazing place surrounded by mountains. Not a good fit if noise is an issue. Guest access Note - there is no lift/elevator and apartment is on the 3rd floor.
