Welcome to Hayseed holiday cottage and the beautiful Island of Anglesey. We hope you love it just as much as we do. If you want an activity filled holiday kayaking, windsurfing, coasteering, cycling, horse riding, walking or prefer to chill and unwind beautiful Ynys Mon has it all. Hayseed is a 10 minute drive to traeth Llanddwyn/Newborough Beach and its famous island, a must for walkers with stunning views along the coast and to the mountains of Snowdonia. and the Llyn Peninsular. The space Hayseed Holiday Cottage Inside… Lounge Under stairs coat rack, sofa, coffee table, TV and DVD player. A small selection of DVDs, books and games. Breakfast bench with 2 stools. Heating provided by an electric radiator and log burner. PLEASE NOTE: Logs are provided for log burning fire until the 1st May and again from the 1st September. In summer months if you wish to bring your own logs May to August you are welcome too, or can be purchased at local shops, we can advise. Kitchen Full electric cooker, oven, 4 hobs, grill. Fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, pans, utensils, cutlery, crockery and glassware for two people. Tea towels and hand towel provided. Stairs lead up to bedroom…. LIMITED headroom (as shown in photos with Apex roof) sleeps two, hanging rail and shelving, queen size double bed, duvet and 4 pillows, all with protective covers, also all pillow cases duvet covers and pillowcases are provided. Single electric radiator. Bedroom leads to bathroom….. LIMITED headroom, sink, WC and over bath electric shower with LIMITED headroom as shown in photos with Apex roof. (Please note the hot water tank is insufficient to provide enough water to full the bath at this moment, however the electric shower is sufficient). Hand towels and bath towels provided, please bring your own beach towels. Outside…. Small private courtyard, bistro table and 2 chairs with charcoal barbecue (tools provided, please bring your own coals) Safety- Heat alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire blanket, outside sand/fire bucket, small first aid kit. Owners live on site. Sorry we cannot allow pets and have a no smoking policy. E cigarettes only may be smoked outside in the private area. The cottage is situated adjacent to the main house immediately off our main driveway/parking area. Please feel free to let us know if you need anything or if you have any concerns. We are happy to assist you in any way that we can to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. PLEASE NOTE CAR ESSENTIAL. The area • A short walk down a public footpath leads you to the stepping stones on the Afon Braint river. Then make your way further along to stop at the Anglesey Model Village for a coffee. • Llanddwyn Island/Newborough beach is a 10/15minute drive (follow the beach signs, turn left at the crossroads in Newborough village) which offers one of the best beach walks on the island, picnic areas, toilets and ice cream/ food vans. We recommend checking the tides times and walking onto Llanddwyn Island when the tide is out. It is one of the most picturesque and historic walks on the island. • Anglesey riding stables, Halen Mon salt cotes, Anglesey Sea Zoo, Anglesey Model Village and Anglesey Transport Museum and cafe, Plas Newydd National Trust House and gardens are all within a 10 minute drive. . A thirty minute drive takes you to the town of Llanberis at the base of Snowdon. • The Groeslon is a 5 minute drive into the village of Brynsiencyn that serves lovely homemade stone baked pizzas. • Hootons farm shop is a 10 min drive selling cakes, pies, meat and various local seasonal items. Farmer Hooton's Hot Potatoe wagon available at lunchtimes (hours and days vary depending on the season) • A local premier store is opposite the Red Squirrel café in the village of Newborourgh.
