The space The solar powered cottage, located on a peaceful Karoo working farm. Breathtaking starry nights and awesome sunsets from the stoep of the cottage. The cottage is fitted with an open plan kitchen, dining nook and lounge area. The lounge being fitted with two single beds (when you are a family of 5 we add an extra bed in this space). The main bedroom has a double bed and a cot. The bathroom en-suites both the lounge area and the main bedroom, and is fitted with a big walk in shower, a toilet and basin. The kitchennet is equipped with a fridge small freezer, basin, microwave, an induction stove and all you'll need for a comfortable stay. Star-gazing and out-door farm experiences are the great attractions. With a few board games for the rainy days. Bring a laptop should you want to connect to WiFi for those who crave their screens. Lovely walks, jogs or bike rides on the farm roads. Close to the Camdeboo National Park and ideally located to visit both Graaff Reinet and Nieu Bethesda from Allendale as it is centrally located between the two towns. About an hour's drive from Mountain Zebra National park. Guest access The Dam (reservoir) for a dip in a hot summers day, Walks & bike ride all over farm, some routes are marked out. 4*4 into back mountains with your own vehicle. Children can play on play equipment but all at own risk. Other things to note We don't have cellular reception on the farm, but have added WiFi to the cottage for convenience. You're welcome to switch it off and enjoy the true beauty of nature without cellular interference... I dare you to try, let's see how long you'll last. ;-)
