Your private orchard space Nestled in the heart of our family farm. The Dove is a 6metre Bell Tent with a cosy log burner & large decked area with a converted Horse Box housing your own well equipped kitchen, shower room and toilet. Nestled in an orchard where you are surrounded by wildlife and our sheep, lambs, and donkeys nearby The space Within a mile or two of the picturesque Cotswold towns, Stroud and Painswick, come and enjoy being ‘Nestled in Nature’ in your own private orchard space. You can explore the orchard area, using any of the benches and seating areas under and around the trees. You are welcome to carefully pick any fruit from the trees but please be aware that this is an ancient orchard and the trees are very precious. Our neighbouring WILD farm shop cafe is open Thursday -Sunday serving breakfast and lunch 9-4pm. You are of course welcome to ‘say hello’ over the fence to livestock surrounding the orchard. This can sometimes be sheep, cows, donkeys and lots of other wildlife so be prepared for nature’s noises and wonders during your stay. Up the steep decked steps onto the pad where you will find… The 6.5m bell tent has a full kingsize bed with the comfort of lots of pillows, blankets and all bedding provided. On a wet day you can kick back and relax with a coffee or hot chocolate from the little machine in the tent. Or pop into the cafe for a takeaway! The Dove has a tiny but extremely efficient log burner to keep you warm on cooler nights. (This means bookings can be made during the early winter & early spring months if you are brave enough, we will of course provide extra hot water bottles and blankets if needed!) Inside the Horse Box there is a well equipped kitchen with a gas hob for cooking, a kettle, toaster & small fridge. Through the sliding door into a walk in shower room with loo and basin. The horse box is only several footsteps away from the tent door. A walk back down the steps and through the apple trees to a separate fire pit area to chill out and enjoy toasting marshmallows, there are plenty of logs for the fire pit provided. There is also a BBQ on the balcony alongside the tent for you to use if the weather is right! The parking is approx 25meters from the tent, this is accessed from the lane and up a private farm track a short distance, along a grass track and onto the hard standing where you then can park and walk through the wooden gate that leads to the steppingstones up to the tent steps. This is an adult only stay. Guest access Your orchard space, tent, horse box, parking and track leading to the gateway will be exclusive for your use during your stay. Please do not park on the farm track as occasionally farm machinery will need access to the woodlands above. Other things to note We please ask noise to be kept to a minimum after 10pm to respect the family living in the nearby property below the orchard. Occasionally we have pop up events in the Cafe/Farm shop, if this is planned we will let you know on time of booking and will always invite you to the event at a discounted rate.
