Welcome to Balcone Munro Apartment. We offer a cute and quaint apartment in the Balcone Homestead. You have your own 2 bedroom apartment consisting of 1 Queen size and 1 Double Bedroom (Both have ceiling fans), lounge room (air-con), kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet with towels, shampoo, conditioner for your convenience. We also offer laundry facilities on the property. Private access and you will be provided with your own unique access code for your stay. Balcone is fully self contained. The space Established in Allora in 1898 as a one story dwelling by the McKenzie family. Raised and refurbished in 1906 by Mr Munro and used as a boarding house after adding the bottom storey. After Tattersalls Hotel burnt to the ground, Balcone was dismantled board by board and re-built in its present location. In the early 19th Century, after the war, during the depression the balconies were filled in to accommodated more guests (unfortunately selling off all the lace balcony charm). Today it's situated close to the centre of Warwick and in easy walking distance to the main street, Palmerin Street, and the city venues. This makes it ideal for your stay. Guest access You have your own separate apartment with own front covered verandah with access to Full Laundry facilities. We also have a designated smoking area Other things to note There is undercover parking for 1 Vehicle at the back of the residence. There are pots of fresh herbs that can be used for your cooking during your stay. There is picnic basket and venue chairs to be used for your outings. The kitchen has a large fridge and freezer. We do not supply breakfast however the kitchen is fully equipped so you can prepare your own. We do supply some tea, coffee, milk, sugar and some spreads. Guest access You have use of the whole apartment including the front verandah. The back door leads to the small verandah off the driveway. This verandah is for the use of the Sunflower guests but you’re welcome to use the entrance. Please note this is a two story building and Munro is a ground floor apartment. The laundry building is a separate shared laundry at the rear of the building. Please note that we do not supply laundry liquid. Other things to note For families/groups of 4 to 6 people, it is possible to book Munro and the Sunflower Apartments as they have an adjoining porch. Subject to availability of course.
