Description
In a quiet lane with views, we're a short walk to the village. There are walks & places to visit inc Wardour, Springhead, & Wilton. 25' from Salisbury, Bath- 45', Stonehenge & Longleat Safari Park are also nearby. London is 2h away by road. The space The bedroom has a comfortable double bed and is next door to the loo and shower. An iron and tumble dryer are available. There is Wi-Fi in the room. It is very simple, being just the spare room in our old cottage. Breakfast will have muesli and fresh fruit, very good bread for toast with homemade jam or marmelade. Guest access There is a door to the outside world which means you have direct access, often appreciated by our guests if you are returning late from the wedding venue down the road! During your stay Maxwell and/or I are around most of the time and are very happy to help or advise about local restaurants, pubs and walks. We are well supplied with all three. There is a pretty, if slightly overgrown garden where you can wander, or sit and look at the view. Other things to note There is a full range of shops in Tisbury village, no supermarket but a Co-op, delicatessen, butcher with a good range of vegetables as well. Also 3 pubs, a nice café a Chinese takeaway and a chippie. The main line station to London Waterloo is a 15 minute walk away. Messums, the distinguished London art gallery has converted the huge tithe barn at the end of Duck Street, we are therefore perfectly placed for both visitors to the fascinating shows and artists who are exhibiting there.
