The underfloor heating is powered by a biomass system fuelled by wood chip, and keeps you toasty all year round. The barn, built into the hillside along a country lane, is accessed from road level, and is all on one level inside. The raised terrace has outdoor furniture for relaxing and watching red kites, or take the steps down to the garden with a barbecue and outdoor chess. The owners have gone out of their way to ensure that if you are bringing your dogs on holiday with you, they are made as welcome as you are! They have prepared maps to guide you through beautiful and dog-friendly walks via their own land, and there is a dog welcome pack and even a cute four poster dog bed suitable for small dogs. Up to four dogs are welcome and the there are no additional pet charges. You can also access open moorlands on foot within 30 minutes. The ancient market town of Tregaron, 1 mile, was once a strategic point for drovers gathering livestock to take along ancient tracks across the mountains to the markets of London and south England. The stunning Tregaron to Abergwesyn mountain road was originally the first stage of the drovers’ route. Today, Tregaron is still a centre for ‘trotian’ - Welsh for horse trotting and harness racing - and the Tregaron Festival of Harness Racing each summer attracts competitors from all over the UK and Ireland. Tregaron is also the home of the Welsh Gold Centre which sells handmade Celtic-inspired jewellery and houses art exhibitions.
