Description
Pontpren has been painstakingly restored and offers quality accommodation. The house is in the middle of the village of Penderyn and most places are within easy walking distance including the Lamb Inn, the Red Lion and Penderyn Whisky Distillery. Penderyn provides a great base for exploring the Brecon Beacons National Park and 'waterfall country'. If you come to stay I will be happy to talk to you about places to see and if you want, and I'm available, I will happily show you the sights. The space The house has been entirely modernised and newly furnished throughout but 25 Pontpren can be traced back as far as the 1881 census and most of the stone work dates back to that time, including the fireplace and original staircase. Guest access Guests will have the exclusive use of the house during their stay. Your own transport will make it easier for you to explore the National Park or venture further afield. There are shops and take-aways in the neighbouring village and parking is not a problem outside the house. (Information and maps can be found in the house and I always greet guests to answer any immediate questions they might have. I live fairly close by and am happy to be contacted if you need further advice and can be around if the need arises.)
