Rural gîte in the countryside

At the top of a beautiful hill in La Piège, you can enjoy stunning views of the Pyrenees. The tastefully renovated gîte is adjoining our home. The swimming pool of our family hamlet is accessible to all (our family, our friends and the vacationers of the gîte) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. We will be delighted to host you, like each of our vacationers who, for 25 years, have enjoyed their break at the top of the Barsa hill. The space Today composed of four renovated houses, the tiny family hamlet of Barsa once hosted up to seven fires. Among these homes was that of the shoemaker. His house will be yours for a stay in the quiet hills of La Piège, in Lauragais. In the countryside, but only 4 km from the village of Belpech, the hamlet of Barsa is an island of calm swept by the winds. The cobbler's house welcomes you on three levels: a large living room on the ground floor; on the first floor the green room and the Pyrenees room and on the second, a room under the roofs. You are at the top of a hill, surrounded by cultivated fields; on the horizon the Pyrenean chain preceded by the Ariège foothills. Guest access The cobbler's house is located in a family hamlet where there is also a studio for two vacationers as well as three houses. That of Christianne & André, that of Marie & Raffaelle and that of Nadine & Nicolas. Each of the homes sometimes welcomes family and friends passing through. Also, while the winter days are quite calm, there are some summer days when there are many people in Barsa! The hamlet is a haven of peace away from traffic, surrounded by the fields of our farming neighbors who grow cereals. As far as we are concerned, we cultivate calm, the sweetness of life, contemplation in harmony with nature and silence... The configuration of the hamlet allows everyone to enjoy their home without disturbing others.  Summer is then lived to the rhythm of naps, games and meals for everyone. At the time of idleness, everyone enjoys it: cool inside, under the large oak tree or by the pool, on the terrace or in the hammocks. We hope you will also enjoy this opportunity. To fully enjoy each place in the hamlet, we invite you to take a walk to discover the breathtaking view towards the sunset, the swing and the hammock sitting in the shade of the large oak tree, the small living room under the cedars and book chest to share. And if you like to play, ask us for molky, petanque balls or badminton! The pool is accessible to all residents of the hamlet from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The pool is an old gentleman, who needs to be looked after. For this, a few tips to remember. First of all, in order to avoid the presence of sunscreen on the walls and to limit the use of cleaning products, we ask that you use the shower before entering the water. For the same reason, it is not possible to use flotation fries. The sauna (wood-fired) and its outdoor shower can be used on request.   Each hummingbird brings its share… we try to contribute as best we can to preserve Mother Nature. We limit water consumption and recover as much as possible. To do this, you can water the plants with the salad washing water, turn off the tap as soon as possible and… avoid bomb competitions in the pool! And in the hamlet, no air conditioning, air currents and greenery are our allies. We try to cultivate the plant islands to better withstand the summer heat: planting trees, installing plants to mitigate the sun on the facades.
