Short Walk By The River Into The Centre Of York

A lovely two bedroom Victorian terraced property, with riverside walks & cycle rides on the doorstep, plenty of amenities close by and a pleasant 15 to 20 minute walk by the river into York centre. My home offers bright, modern & comfortable accommodation comprising; entrance hall, living room, dining room, fully fitted kitchen, two double bedrooms & spacious bathroom. There is a pretty courtyard garden to the rear, laundry, WiFi & free on-street permit parking for one car. The space If you are looking for a real home from home for your visit to York, then my home could be the one for you. I care greatly about my guests having the best experience possible & will do everything I can to ensure this happens. The house is situated in a quiet street of terraced properties, with steps at the end of the street leading down to riverside walks and a 15/20 minute stroll into the town centre. It also boasts easy access to York racecourse, Bishy Road and Rowntrees Park, and is also conveniently placed for the University. My home has been decorated and furnished in a contemporary style, whilst still retaining some of the character these lovely Victorian terraces offer, ie high ceilings, deep skirtings, cornicing, original tiled entrance hall & fireplace. It was never intended to be an Airbnb, it was my full time home, but I now live with my partner and am happy to be able to welcome guests to come to stay. The living room has a 3 seater sofa, snuggle chair with electric foot rest & a smart TV with a basic Sky package & Apps. The stylish separate dining room comfortably seats 4 and can also double up as a laptop friendly workspace. The kitchen is fully fitted with a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, water cooler, microwave, toaster, kettle and vegetable steamer. The cupboards provide plenty of space for groceries and all the pots, pans etc you should need for your stay. The master bedroom has a comfy king size bed, smart tv with Sky on the wall and plenty of wardrobe space. The second bedroom had a double bed (couples should note that the bed can only be accessed from one side). This room has a dressing table and built in wardrobe. The bathroom is light and spacious, with a bath and separate shower cubicle for guests to enjoy. To the rear is a fully enclosed, pretty courtyard garden, well stocked and planted with love every year by my Dad. It has a bistro table with two chairs, for coffee in the morning & alfresco dining, as well as another seat for two. The washing machine is situated in the outside laundry. Free on street permit parking is available for one car. But please let me know if you need more & I will do my best to assist with this. WiFi is available free of charge for guests.
