Marrons are coming from mixing home wild chestnut and sadnica which sailors bring from Japan. Marrons have the best quality and taste and it is a "must try" when you are in Lovran. Lovran also has a famous "Lovranska Marunada" which has found herself in the top 10 list of festivals in the whole world, chosen by the english Guardian newspaper.
