Beautiful Big Double Room with own Basin

A lovely, comfortable double room in our big family home with a traditional shabby chic pine double bed. There is a basin in the room for your private use. There is a shared bathroom on the same floor, and one on the floor below. You are welcome to help yourself to a simple breakfast in our kitchen or there are excellent local cafés if you prefer. Our household includes a friendly and affectionate lazy cat. We're pretty flexible within reason and we'll help if we can - just ask. The space The house is a large Victorian/Edwardian terraced house with a garden, opposite the local tennis club. It is on a quiet, wide, tree-lined street, with big skies and plenty of parking. This room is on the second floor (3rd if you count ground as 1st) with a shared bathroom next to it and another shared bathroom on the floor below. This is a fairly large dedicated guest room and has recently been painted and updated in traditional style. There is a basin in the bedroom for your own private use. The kitchen is on the ground floor and is available for breakfast. You can help yourself to breakfast any time before 10am. There will usually be coffee, tea, fresh bread, fruit, yoghurt, cereal etc. Please feel free to use the fridge to store your own items, but please make sure you label them so we all know it's yours! You are welcome to make toast, hot drinks and use the microwave for breakfast, but we don't offer full cooking facilities or any afternoon or evening access to the kitchen. There are 3 of us who live here most of the time, and others who visit, as well as a very friendly cat, so you will see some or all of us during your stay, and there may be other airbnb guests too. You are welcome to use the front garden if you want to smoke, or just to sit in the sun. Guest access Guests have use of the bedroom, shared bathrooms, and family kitchen for breakfast only. Please ask if you have any extra requests such as bag drop, visitor parking, access to tennis club, laundry, etc. please give us plenty of notice and we will accommodate where possible and charge appropriately. You will be given your own key so you can come and go as you please. During your stay We welcome you as guests in our home and will meet you when you arrive so it's important you confirm your arrival time well in advance. Other things to note This is our family home and is sometimes busy and sometimes quiet - it's important that you know that we will sometimes have friends over, or be working at home, so while we respect your needs for privacy, comfort etc., we ask that you respect the limits of our offer. This is our living, working, active home and would be probably be described as "shabby chic" - some might say more shabby than chic! So while it is mostly clean and comfortable, it is not a hotel or a perfect designer "show home" - please only book if you are prepared to (within reason) accept us as we are.
