Cosy house in the trees on Pittwater
Description
Our cosy cabin is set-back from the water up the hill. This makes it very peaceful and gives the place a slight tree house feeling - great for young families or couples. As well as being a comfortable (but basic) home, there are plenty of visiting birds and wallabies. Coasters Retreat is boat only access, so visitors will generally need to catch the lovely old ferry over from Palm Beach (10 minute ride and part of the experience). The space A getaway from city life only one hour (plus short ferry ride) from the Sydney CBD. You park the car at Palm Beach ferry wharf and talk a lovely old ferry across the water to Coasters Retreat. Our house is a 5 minute walk along a bush track from either Bennetts (turn right) or Bonnie Doone (turn left) ferry wharf. The house has a nice big kitchen and living area that opens up onto a big deck. Stairs lead up to a spacious mezzanine level (parents retreat). Note: we keep some of our ‘kitchen staples’ in the fridge/freezer and in one of the kitchen cupboards to avoid carrying everything back and forth on the ferry. Guest access You can access everything apart from the studio, which is currently used for storage. Other things to note The house is on a water tank and septic system. This means we try to conserve water as much as possible during dry periods. We don’t consider the house suitable for hosting large groups of adults (5 adults max). The house has no Wifi as the connection was too unreliable to be worth paying for. Registration details PID-STRA-5270
